June Mid-Month Event: Settling In
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
At last, we've reached Liyue, the city of Stone and Contracts. Everyone gets assigned to a small house just like in Mondstadt, equipped with the basic amenities and the ability to redecorate your place at will. Oh yeah, and it's a teapot. Wait, what?

Placing the pot on a flat surface will teleport you within. A finch spirit greets each Traveler inside, introducing itself as Tubby. Tubby is here to assist you in decorating your pot house! It is possible to bring in raw materials such as wood or stone, and then Tubby will shape these items into furnishings. You can also bring pre-made items from outside, of course.

There's no risk of your house being moved or trampled on while you're inside. The pot will be concealed using adeptal arts when in use, rendering it undetectable to all except those you wish to invite for a visit. It's pretty handy, huh? Why not take the two weeks until the official start of the mission to decorate?

Once night falls, a masked man may appear to invite you to a Secret Hideout. It seems like he knows you're part of some 'elite force' and is here to extend a ticket to 'exclusive chilling time' since your organizations are working together. If you do follow him, you'll be led to the Northland Bank and into a lounge room. There's a billiards table, darts, and a bar (but only juice for kids, of course), as well as a vintage record player.

As for what sort of news you'll overhear in the lounge: the Fatui are actively investigating Liyue, seeking out the whereabouts of Rex Lapis. As for what will happen when they do find him... wouldn't you like to find out?

Contrary to most of the Adepti who consider themselves above humans, Reed Painter has lived alongside humanity for centuries. He invites travelers to pay a visit to Jueyun Karst, so that they can see the realm in which the Adepti reside, and how distant it has become from the outside world.

Jueyun Karst is the very picture of a hidden paradise, devoid of any sign of civilization and filled with beautiful scenery. Do mind your manners when you're in the stone forests, though. Even a Sigil of Permission can't protect you from the Adepti's wrath should you dirty their lawn too much...

State of the World

Characters will be told by Forneus that they don't necessarily have to work for the next two weeks. They can if they want to, but they can also fix up their house and do other personal things. If you do want to do some work: you can take commissions from the Adventurers' Guild, the Liyue Ministry of Civil Affairs, or from the Fatui. Comment below with the faction of your choice and the mods will give your character a task to do. This will let your characters know more about them and get hints for July's happenings.

If your character wants to cause chaos immediately, you can don your Fatui Disguise (a glamour spell courtesy of Forneus) and fall in with the fantasy Russians. Causing chaos ranges from lurking menacingly in Liyue to actively breaking into government storehouses and other minor felonies. Don't worry, you will be teleported to safety should you get caught.

Retroactively, the vote about Dragonspine has been tallied, and the Mondstadt Adventurers' Guild will be informed of Vindagnyr by a woman dressed in black.

[Trevor awkwardly arrives in Liyue. He's more than thrilled to be visiting a place that's not covered in demons, vampires, creatures of the night and other cursed beings. Maybe for once in his life he'll get a break. The thought is nice anyway.]

Hey, you there. Do you know this area well? I'm trying to find a better way to navigate the damn place.

I don't want to get fucking lost, that's for sure.

2 EVENING 

[All of this stuff is so exhausting. Trevor thought it might be a good idea to take a nap in a tree. After several hours he loses his balance and falls down from a higher place. Okay, so maybe he didn't have the greatest idea because this was just miserable. ]

God, my nap is ruined and I have no words to express my disappointment. Maybe I'll go get something to eat.

A good meal ought to make up for this entire ordeal.

[He might notice some people nearby and hit up a conversation or two.]

[Being ostensibly a bit difficult to miss due to his sheer size, Sooga is unsurprised that the man who thought it was a good idea to nap in a tree without properly securing himself decided to talk to him.]

[And there comes sidling up a girl with arms crossed together tightly and sounding a bit irritated. She stops just about a short distance away from him, her head turned away as she looks over the rest of the place.]

All know is that I was given a key to who knows where. Honestly, you'd think they would at least put up a map, or tell us where that is...

A less specific recommendation is fine with me. Fish isn't bad either.

[ Making decisions isn't exactly Trevor's strong point. He acts without a goal in mind and it leaves him in awkward situations. At least now he's got someone to talk to and an idea of what to eat.]

Normally I prefer eating fish once they've been grilled over a fire. That sounds a lot better than having shit or piss for dinner.

[ He pauses for a brief moment. ]

Are you feeling hungry by any chance?

Listen, I walked around the same joint at least four times. I'd call that a colossal waste of time. Haven't seen my acquaintance either.

[ He's Tired. Trevor hasn't had a drink in a while and he feels sober so this was a mistake. ]

We're just going to have to travel on foot and explore the area. My name's Trevor Belmont and I'm from the house of Belmont. Who the hell are you?

[ He's a person with so much chaotic energy so Rose would be correct. It's a problem he made for himself. ]

You wouldn't be the first one with that kind of claim. [ He merely shrugs and pulls out some leaves that got stuck in his hair. Trevor never claimed to be the graceful type.]

What brings you here to this specific plot of land? Are you in search of something?

Not exactly, no. I'll trade for coins if there's a market that accepts offers.

[ He doesn't have money for a meal. Go figure. Trevor is broke for the most part. That leaves him with another question.]

How difficult is it to make money around these parts?

[Her brow twitches the slightest of slights. Much as Yu is annoyed at the tone, much as she is peeved that the first person she talks to had to be human...she bites back her tongue. Not here, not right now. Especially when everything is just so damn unfamiliar to her.

Also god, she wishes she had a book right now.

Yu keeps her face turned enough to not show any full emotion as she starts walking.]

...Akuta Hinako. Or I suppose on your side of the Earth, it would be "Hinako Akuta" in that order. I'm just a technician.

[There's a long pause. God, she really, really wishes she had a book. Or anything to hide her face completely!!]

That kind of introduction...you sound as if you were from olden times.

[ He wonders why he always seems to end up in strange groups. It is what it is, he supposes. ]

Olden times? Last time I checked it was our year 1475. Tell me the last date you remember. You're onto something here.

[ Trevor is a human who happens to smell really bad because he hasn't had a proper shower so, yeah. ]

[She moves her head quickly for a moment, pretending to take in more of their surroundings as she hides a disgusted grimace. Human and a monster slayer?? Oh god.]

Well, so far as I knew, I remembered it being 2017.

Forneus

[Jun had been making use of his vacation time, exploring the sights and getting settled into his teapot home. But as things were coming together...he couldn't help but feel that his teapot could use a touch of something to really make it feel like a home.

And so, it's time to ask Forneus. He heads into his office, carrying that magical girl light novel he received in Mondstadt all those months ago. Has he been carrying this thing around this whole time? Answers point to Probably.]

So Forneus...is it safe to assume you were the one that brought this novel here?

[ Forneus gives Jun a wave as he comes in. Nothing seems to have changed since Jun's last visit despite the geographical relocation. ]

Yes, it was me. I'm the only one who can cross worlds. Did you like it?

[He's not surprised by the lack of change in this office. This wasn't exactly a normal place]

Mm, I did! It's based on one of my favorite animes, so it was nice to have.

That's good. And I'm guessing you want more?

[ He would have probably enjoyed anime more if he wasn't cursed with precognition and therefore automatically spoiled about everything. ]

I. Exploring Liyue Harbor
[Considering Zhongli had said that this was meant to be a vacation time, Jun was more than eager to spend this time enjoying himself. Liyue Harbor was a robust and lively city, with a lot to see. It's easy to find Jun listening in on a storyteller, or grabbing lunch at one of the many restaurants, or shopping for souvenirs and other items that catch his interest. He'll happily spend time with anyone who shows interest.

One item however, really catches his eye: a Kamera, imported from Fontaine. He's quick to buy one and put it to use, snapping photos of anything that catches his interest. If he see someone he knows:]

Hey, mind if I get a photo of you?

II. Teapot (Open to friendly CR)
[A domain that was housed inside a teapot. Jun hadn't been expecting this to be their lodgings for their stay, but he's one of the few not surprised by the concept since he's seen something like this before - at least this time it was a classy teapot rather than a novelty anime alarm clock.

He's gone for a morning, teleporting to Mondstadt to collect things from his apartment there- as well as pick up Koromaru now that was a safe place to keep him. When he returns, he'll spend time here and there over the next several days decorating the place. Friends are able to visit, though the place looking...

Well, he's trying his best, but it wasn't like he learned landscaping with the Orden. The grounds are covered in random piles of dirt and rocks lying around. There was an attempt to make a pond, but it looks like a dirt hole with some muddy water in it. There looks to be hopes for gardens too....if the huge patches of dirt indicate anything.

At least the inside of the house is a bit less chaotic- largely thanks to Tubby doing the actual carpentry instead of entrusting it to Jun. But even then, it's clear Jun knows very little about how to actual decorate a full house- with different furniture sets being placed in random places and nothing matching. Even more curiouser, there's a bookcase full of manga from Earth, courtesy of Forneus. ]

III. Jueyun Karst
[Being an outsider with his allegiances, he never expected a chance to visit Jueyun Karst. So when the opportunity presents itself, he'll jump on it. Sigil of permission in hand, he can't help but marvel at the majesty of this haven as he walks through it. ]

It's really beautiful as they say...

Really? Well- I like anime of any genre, but it's not like I have a way to play DVDs here ... so I guess mangas and light novels will do! A mix of genres.

[ One of the TV screens blinks into life, displaying his trademark runic language and some sort of spell matrix. The rings begin to rotate in different directions, perhaps suggesting some sort of analytical process. ]
