Well, I don't quite believe in scaring mortals so badly that they die on the spot. Death is a natural part of living, as ironic as that may seem, and a more mundane presentation would make that fact easier to accept.

There are many restrictions which bind a single god of this plane, most of them cast by Celestia, the assembly of divinity that rules over this world. I cannot act by myself to overthrow their regime, because of the oaths that bind me due to my status. People like you have far more freedom to act... and you would be able to understand what mortals want, much more than a shut-in god like me.
