Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
It's time. For the sake of its future, Liyue must face unrest and a trial from the divine.

The Rite of Descension goes horribly awry, plunging the bustling harbour city into unrest and apprehension. You, Traveler, already know of the plan - but the people don't, and a good portion of them are unable to envision a world without their god. However, there are also those in Liyue who see this as an opportunity to show mortal strength. Give them your support, and the city will realize that they can move forward into the era of humanity.

While the Liyue Qixing scramble to investigate Rex Lapis' assassination, the funerary rites still have to be prepared. For this purpose Wangsheng Funeral Parlour is seeking the help of Travelers and locals alike - ritual implements, flowers, and peripherals all have to be gathered for the ceremony, and the Lord of Geo would expect only the best materials to be used. As for who's footing the bill... well, it's a good thing that you've got divine backing this time.

For those who mingle with the Fatui, they would find out that the Snezhayan 'diplomats' have begun to make a move on Guyun Stone Forest. The islands are a place where the remains of old gods have come to rest, and they are under the order of the Cryo Archon to unseal a demon god from where it had been pinned beneath the waves. As for how... it's a closely guarded secret, but travelers would be told that it is a blessing from the Tsaritsa that allows them to do so. There's no way for you to prevent it, only to prepare for battle when the inevitable comes. Such is the rules in a chess game that pits gods against each other, and against Celestia.

State of the World

The majority of activities for the first two weeks of July are set in Liyue and surrounding areas to gather rare historic materials for a god's funeral. Each of the special items needed for the Rite of Parting require hard work to be obtained. Characters will also be forewarned that they will need to face the Lord of the Vortex, Osial, very soon. Forneus' intention is for humanity to triumph against the god by joining forces with the Adepti and fighting together. As for what happens to Osial - should it be defeated, Forneus will ensure that it will never rise to menace Liyue again by erasing it from existence.

[Elliot sighs, knowing who the "mysterious person" is. Elliot wasn't close to him, but he was one of the kids that Rean fusses over, so he knew enough. ] Yeah, can't say I was thrilled by that development...

[That kid is going to give someone in this group gray hair, he swears.]

Still, it doesn't hurt to be cautious. Talking about stuff like that might draw scrunity.

[Rose sighs and shrugs her shoulders.]

[She turns back to Elliot. She's seen him around, but hasn't spoken to him much. He seems extremely careful.]

What brings you out here?

[He sure is. Being a fugitive multiple times while having anxiety issues will do that to you. ]

I wanted a drink. [No reason not to be honest.] And bars are a good place to learn things.

[Well, she understands at least half of that. She knows what it's like to be a fugitive. She does not like it. Unfortunately, it didn't make her any smarter.]

Of those two, I suspect one is the real reason you came here.

[Not that she can say anything.]

I must admit, though, this place does serve a good drink.

Eheh...look The last time I went through something with such high stakes, I couldn't drink anything while several of my friends did so regularly.

[The woes of having an apocalypse happen right before you turn the legal drinking age. ]

Sooo...can you really blame me on seizing on the chance?

[Rose cannot blame him in the least. Considering how many times she's stolen away to bars and taverns in her own world, she understands where he's coming from.]

[It won't be, but she raises her glass regardless.]

[He laughs as he raises his glass with her]

Haha, think we both know it won't be, but a nice sentiment none-the-less!

[He'll take a sip of the drink. ]

Ah, at least we're not climbing that mountain anymore. Anything's better than that place.

[Rose raises her glass, taking another drink. To call it a sip would be a lie; she’s certainly not holding back tonight.]

Please don’t remind me. That cold was worse than the dreadful island.

[She puts her drink back down. For now.]

I do wonder where they’ll send us next.

[He watches her guzzle the drink. Aidios, she drinks like Instructor Sara. ]

"Dreadful island"?

[He asks curiously, because he sure don't remember an island!]

Not sure, I imagine we're meant to visit every country though.

[Instructor Sara? Please. Rose could not drink her under the table.]

If you don't know what I'm referring to, that's for the best.

[She shakes her head.]

I wish it weren't the case, but that's probably correct. It seems we'll be asked to solve all this world's problems.
