August Mid-Month Event
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
The earth begins to rumble as the Lantern Rite draws ever closer - a threat from centuries past now emerges from the depths.

Thanks to a surprise lead from a gentleman with glasses, the missing miners have been found in a cavern underneath the blue tree at Nantianmen. The miners are possessed by a dark force, rushing to attack anyone who interferes with their digging. Best to knock them out before they hurt themselves... but that's not all. Their efforts have revealed an ancient seal in the cavern, and those who happen to be nearby will find themselves trapped in the seal's domain along with its very angry inhabitant.

As an elemental being, Azhdaha is able to invoke other elements in battle as infusions, so you'll need to adapt your tactics to match. It's almost like fighting a god up close - Forneus intervenes in the battle this time, giving you a speed boost to evade his heavy attacks.

Time is cruel. But there is hope, for you have the God of Time on your side. Now that Azhdaha is in a rare moment of lucidity, Forneus steps into the world, and as a favour for an old friend, restores the dragon's soul. Now in the form of a mortal man, he will be free to walk under the endless sky once more.

But - enough of depressing things for the moment. After fighting not one but two powerful beings, you've earned your rest. With the miners safely found, the festival's atmosphere remains upbeat, and you'll be able to witness the Mingxiao Lantern take flight in all its splendour. Here's to a new year, and a new beginning - for Liyue, and also hopefully for you.
State of the World
It's hard to tell why Azhdaha chose this particular time to try and break out of his prison. Maybe it's because of Osial's awakening last month, or that he sensed the weakening of his divine seal. Nevertheless, you've had to fight another dragon to beat the corruption out of him before, so you're probably experienced at this sort of thing. It brings a good amount of food for thought, though. Is it truly good to leave something as important as the fate of a world in the hands of those who might forget their vows?
Your time in Liyue is also drawing to an end. Everyone will be departing for Inazuma two weeks after the Lantern Rite ends. As for what will happen in those two weeks... it's a surprise! Please look forward to it ☆
Questions about this event can be asked below!

[ It's something...noted, for certain, in the midst of the festivities.
There's also the implied question in his statement, but Ledah doesn't feel like it is such a bad thing. ]
no subject
[ He winks, putting a finger to his lips in a classic expression of secrecy. ]
I've disguised myself, though. Only people who know of my identity can see me for who I am. Most of the population can't notice me.

I think it could be...good. It's a different experience.
[ But then he'll pause, and he decides it is a clever way to go about things. No one would be unpleasantly surprised or anything like that. ]
This isn't your first time, is it? Going to a festival like this?

[ He's started telling the Travelers that he too is a traveler between worlds - not outright, but just slipping it in conversations here and there. ]
Each one is unique, though. Each world has its different cultures and beliefs. Even if the overarching strokes are the same, each festival is unlike any other. I never get bored of it.

[ He states this so formally, because he is just like that, but part of him is glad. He's wondered at times if the god would ever feel like he could ever enjoy himself.
It's not a thought he'd consider often for others as it's not something Ledah has thought about before he came here. But, things chance. ]
And your favorite aspect about travelling between the worlds are festivals? [ ... ] Do you have a favorite activity you prefer to take part in at each festival above all else?
no subject
Festivals are when mortals celebrate transient things. Because they fear death, they cherish life. It's kind of charming. I can't die, you know. Not just because I am a god of Teyvat... I cannot die unless I choose to kill myself, and I don't have any intent of doing so anytime soon.
[ He's saying all this with a rather relaxed expression. ]
Does people-watching count? If that doesn't, I like to try the food.
no subject
He feels a little surprised. Pleasantly so. ]
...Good. I've never really gone to festivals before now. But that may have been because it wasn't needed for someone like myself.
Those who are mortal indeed would have more use for celebrations like this.
[ Well he supposes he could get away with not doing so right now. He doesn't care to do so, though. He's kind of gotten a sweet tooth of some sort maybe, and of course he wants to be available for tasks. ]
People watching counts to an extent, however I appreciate the elaboration. Do you have a favorite from the food you've tried?
no subject
[ Was Ledah expecting this kind of sentimentality from the god? Regardless, he's honest about his own feelings for once. ]
no subject
As the god states he has no favorite, however...he can't help but feel it's true. Forneus doesn't seem the type to easily commit to picking a particular food or place over another. Though he imagines some might rank higher, at least? ]
'It will be carried in your heart'...I can't say I've ever heard anyone say something like that.
[ His lips almost twitch upwards, but don't quite make it. ]
But I find that even for someone like me, simply choosing a particular food out of the rest isn't a simple task. Though, I've found that desserts, among all other types, are the most appealing type—where I am concerned, at any rate.
no subject
[ Is he agreeing with Ledah's statement? He might be. ]
Have you tried any Liyue desserts? Anything catch your eye?
no subject
I've not tried any of their desserts as of yet, no.
Though that will change soon enough. [ He states it in that serious way of his. ] Do you have any recommendations on which one to start with first?
no subject
[ Has he eaten both? Maybe he already has, but he always has room for more. ]
