October Mid-Month Event
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Two weeks after the Travelers arrive in Inazuma, the conflict between the Shogunate and the Sangonomiya Resistance begin to intensify. At Forneus' behest, you venture west to survey the battlegrounds and consider your next move.

Once again, a stalemate that can only be broken from the outside. This isn't anything new now, is it?
State of the World
The Sangonomiya Resistance have declared civil war on the Shogunate after the establishment of the Vision Hunt Decree. As you travel through Inazuma, you will eventually meet them, as well as their leader. It becomes evident that the two sides are locked in equal balance, and that the civil war does nothing good for anyone... which is why the overseer of the Narukami Shrine has asked you to come. You are unbound by any destiny, and thus able to tip the scales. But to do that, you will need a complete picture of the situation, and to solve problems that no one is willing to face.
No one has seen the Shogun out in public for quite a while. It seems that only a sufficiently grave danger will provoke her from within her castle. The enemy of eternity is change, and you are just that.
Questions about this event can be asked below!
Yashiori Island, Dry
Nice work with the gun.
[ His tone is friendly, conversational. ]

He's preoccupied trying to use his vision to dry himself off even a little bit, to try and shake his nerves. But Crow speaks up, and Lutha starts despite himself, the flame in his open palm nearly flickering out.]
It's nothing. [That is about the only acknowledgement of that compliment he is willing to give right now, gods he is so tired.] Spirits only know how long the powder's going to last in this damn weather. It'd be idiotic not to make it count.
...
[Wordlessly, he looks Crow over with all the suspicion of a feral cat. Who the fuck is this?]
no subject
[ He's curious okay. Guns-with-gunpowder exist back home in Zemuria, but orbal guns are far more commonplace.
....Also, if he notices that suspicion (he does), he's not letting any of it show on his face. ]
no subject
...Yeah. Most of the time. Teyvat works a little different.
I wouldn't normally be able to shoot fire magic directly from this thing.
no subject
[ Said guns are not currently visible on him, but he does have a double saber strapped to his back. ]
no subject
[Whine all u want, random man, he's got a stick too far up his ass to humor that.]
no subject
[ He shrugs, once again smiling. ]
Bu~ut, I'm definitely not gonna stop trying.
no subject
[but like, good luck anyways, he guesses??
That's absolutely why this random stranger is socially cornering him in the back of a snake's skull, right? Gun Knowledge.]
no subject
Haha, I didn't think you could. Besides, it's more fun if I figure it out on my own. Anyway, I still haven't met everyone in our little circle. What's your name?
no subject
Lutha.
[welcome to the fold of "your cast is very tired of me", have fun
His hand trembles, fire disappearing for a moment as he tries his best to toss his rain soaked bangs off his forehead. The drippin water just makes him want to hurl.]
Figured you were a newer face. I usually remember nosey people like you.
no subject
[ Ha, ha.
He shakes his head, an amused smile on his face. ]
I prefer to think of myself as "friendly." Anyway, the name's Crow. Crow Armbrust. Nice to meet you, Lutha.
no subject
If they're friends you have here, I can already guarantee you're worse.
[Still, it's not said with any malice outside a very obvious dry annoyance. A stranger forcing an outgoing, overly familiar attitude into his face, more often than not, made him want to exit the conversation. But it's... nostalgic.
Hmn.
His sour look softens just slightly as Crow uses his family name, looking him over one more time before he extends his only hand out.]
Lutha Pahr.
Can't say it's nice yet, but... at least you can use your words.
no subject
Then they must not have left an impression yet.
[ He reaches out to shake Lutha's hand. ]
I'd rather you didn't say it's nice if you don't mean it, anyway. And I'd like to think I'm pretty good at using my words most of the time.
no subject
I'd rather not spout bullshit unless there's a damn good reason for it.
no subject
I gotta respect that, man. The world could use less bullshit.
no subject
[This world is CONFUSING and he is tired 99% of the time because his normal definition of bullshit doesn't always apply here!! Woe is him.
Hand successfully back to himself, Lutha flickers a flame back to life against his palm, tucking his amputated left arm against his waist. He's still shaking, still a little pale around the edges.]
Not a great time for introductions, though. Any reason you came over to bother a stranger about his weapon of all things, or is fighting a possessed village just boring you?
[If it is the latter then hmmmmm :/ :\]
no subject
[ So it's definitely not that. ]
Honestly, I just noticed the impressive shooting and was interested in saying "hi." It doesn't really go any deeper than that.
no subject
It's not really the weapon of choice around here. Not enough for a compliment like that, anyway.
[It's even, not self-degrading in tone. He knows very well he's a good shot. It just isn't usually a talking point.]
