October Mid-Month Event
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Two weeks after the Travelers arrive in Inazuma, the conflict between the Shogunate and the Sangonomiya Resistance begin to intensify. At Forneus' behest, you venture west to survey the battlegrounds and consider your next move.

Heading west from Narukami Island will bring you to Kannazuka, the location of the Mikage Furnace. This furnace uses the power of the Tatarigami to produce high-quality swords for the Shogunate. However, sabotage by members of the Resistance have led to the furnace becoming unstable. The Shogunate's soldiers and the Shrine Maidens have set up camp on the island, but the two factions cannot decide on how to address the problem. That's where you come in. Unfettered by the chains of bureaucracy, you can act as you wish. Venture into the Furnace and stabilize it before it blows the island away.

Yashiori Island lies even further west. Its position means that it is currently the middle ground where the Shogunate and the Resistance skirmish. However, the fighting has died down due to torrential rain that blankets the island, as well as the intense Electro energy within Musoujin Gorge. Once, this island was the battlefield between the Raiden Shogun and Orobashi, with the latter defeated and sealed. However, someone broke its seals during the civil war, and the lingering resentment of the Serpent has possessed soldiers on the island, turning them violent.

Once again, a stalemate that can only be broken from the outside. This isn't anything new now, is it?

State of the World

The Sangonomiya Resistance have declared civil war on the Shogunate after the establishment of the Vision Hunt Decree. As you travel through Inazuma, you will eventually meet them, as well as their leader. It becomes evident that the two sides are locked in equal balance, and that the civil war does nothing good for anyone... which is why the overseer of the Narukami Shrine has asked you to come. You are unbound by any destiny, and thus able to tip the scales. But to do that, you will need a complete picture of the situation, and to solve problems that no one is willing to face.

No one has seen the Shogun out in public for quite a while. It seems that only a sufficiently grave danger will provoke her from within her castle. The enemy of eternity is change, and you are just that.

[ Crow pauses as if something about that really amuses him, then shakes his head. ]

Alright, that's fair. Let's just say I'd have to ask the guy and there's really no reason for me to do it.

When I deliver the latest piece to Rean, I'll ask Elliot. How likely is he gonna argue with me on it or try to say no?

He'll probably be startled until you tell him I'm involved, and then he'll sigh and say something like, "Why am I not surprised?"

...okay, there is a History behind that. Wanna elaborate? I got time.

Well, our class did a concert together once and Elliot and I collaborated a lot. I was in charge out outfit design, among other things. So he knows how I feel about it.

[ Crow will just very casually leave all the bits about Rean having to sit on him from keeping the designs from getting too horny out. It's an unimportant detail. ]

Oh thank God, you will know how to design a fucking pair of pants. Do you know how many idiots wanted like. Ten belts on pants in middle school?!

[ Crow lets out an inelegant snort at that. ]

Belts can be fun but that's just impractical. You still gotta be able to walk.

You'd think, but noooo, they all wanted to look like something out of Hot Topic or fucking video games. I really, really hated that year.

[ Crow runs a hand through his hair, blinking at August. ]

Uh. Shop for a certain subset of fashion--or at least it was--and...uh, interactive movies? Do you guys have those?

They're not very widespread in the country I live in back home, but I've heard of 'em. I think the industry's bigger in Calvard. ....Interactive movies, though? Now there's a hell of a concept.

Yeah, and they're way longer most of the time, like fifty to sixty hours long for some of them. And sometimes they have really, really stupid character designs.

[ Crow lets out a low whistle. ]

Damn, now there's a serious time investment. Sounds pretty fun though, stupid character designs or not.

They can be, yeah. But, like--actually, if I show you something will you keep it quiet from everyone? Especially Rean?

[August pulls out the image Jun had given him for the cosplay.]

That is the kinda shit video game characters wear.

[ This is Crow looking like all his birthdays just came at once. ]

Oh man. Please tell me you're making him that!

He doesn't know it, but I am.

[He won't out Jun as the mastermind behind this plan.]

It's gonna be great. I can't fabricate some of the stuff, like that visor, but I'm doing what I can.

[ This is easily one of the best things that has ever happened to Crow. ]
