October Mid-Month Event
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Two weeks after the Travelers arrive in Inazuma, the conflict between the Shogunate and the Sangonomiya Resistance begin to intensify. At Forneus' behest, you venture west to survey the battlegrounds and consider your next move.

Once again, a stalemate that can only be broken from the outside. This isn't anything new now, is it?
State of the World
The Sangonomiya Resistance have declared civil war on the Shogunate after the establishment of the Vision Hunt Decree. As you travel through Inazuma, you will eventually meet them, as well as their leader. It becomes evident that the two sides are locked in equal balance, and that the civil war does nothing good for anyone... which is why the overseer of the Narukami Shrine has asked you to come. You are unbound by any destiny, and thus able to tip the scales. But to do that, you will need a complete picture of the situation, and to solve problems that no one is willing to face.
No one has seen the Shogun out in public for quite a while. It seems that only a sufficiently grave danger will provoke her from within her castle. The enemy of eternity is change, and you are just that.

And you're still undercharging for your readings?
Either your teacher isn't teaching you jack shit or you don't care enough to sell yourself.

A bottle of sugar powder is 450 mora back in Liyue.

Seriously?

Stuff like your basic starches and produce is 100 or 200, but specialty items or actual prepared foods you can push 1000 or more. Stuff like books is 2000, 3000. Weaponry is all over the place but the lowest I saw that stuff was 600.
[He just feels bad for you, man, what a fucking shame.]

In my defense, I didn't shop in Liyue and apparently Inazuma isn't a good metric for prices. Shit.

[Oddly enough, his tone's evened out to something almost comfortable now that they're actually talking about business jargon. He slips the photo back into his shirt.]
Charge more.

[And not tell Lutha that he's the only person who paid.]

Anyway moving on.]
What's your preferences for tailoring?

What about customer supplied materials?

Considering what we're being asked to do and where we're going, I'd rather not ask for anything that I won't be able to followup on due to location. So it depends.

[The raven caws, because yes. Yes he would go for the dick.]
no subject
Not exactly something I need to worry about anymore. But sure. The bird NOT pecking my eyes out would kind of be required.
no subject
I'll make him behave, don't worry.
no subject
Mmhmm.
[He doesn't believe that for a second and it comes through in his voice.
...
But there's a beat, in which he forces himself to exhale slowly, to get his thoughts in order even as he keeps his eyes towards the table and now at Rean.]
I'm not gonna pull my weapon at him again. He freaked me out the first time. Lost my nerve.
I know that makes for a kind of bullshit apology, but... [He shrugs, absently rubbing at his mouth with his hand.] I don't plan on repeating that.
no subject
Good. I'm not sorry for getting you in the dick, but if you won't attack Julian I won't do it again, either.
no subject
I'm already a cripple. Not much else you can do. [He has already lost a couple body parts so like??? Yeah he gets it even if he's still pissed off.
ANYWAY]
What kind of turnaround do you usually have for basic requests?

I'd have to look into something first before I agreed to that. I have access to some material, but anything too specific is going to be impossible right now with the border closing affecting imports, and I'd rather not waste time with a mediocre plan.

Unless you'd rather I find and chase the bird to get your attention again. [It's not a threat, given how dull his expression goes when uttering the words. Don't make him look for you, man.]
