June Mingle: Time For A Hike
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Finally, it's time to leave Death Mountain for warmer climates. THe Travelers will begin their journey from Mondstadt to Liyue on the first of November, after packing up and saying goodbye the Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild. But worry not - if you ever miss the City of Wind and Song, it's possible to teleport back for a brief visit.

The Travelers will head out of Mondstadt through Stone Gate, cross Dihua Marsh and then reach the Guili Plains. You'll be camping out under the stars on some days, while getting to enjoy various roadside inns on other days - including the famed Wangshu Inn, all under Forneus' bill. But it does bring up a question: where did he get all that mora from?

Speaking of Forneus, it seems that he's too busy to accompany you on this road trip. Instead, Zhongli will serve as his stand-in. For those who do not know him well, he introduces himself as an Adeptus... and also the Geo Archon, who has enlisted your help to test his nation. What will you do?

State of the World

June will be a lighter period in the game for characters to bond with each other while traveling as a group, and later while exploring and trolling Liyue to the best of their ability. Forneus will not be available for the first two weeks as he is busy; instead Zhongli is tasked with answering questions in his place. A reference of the scenery your character might see on the way can be found in this video here! Feel free to check out Liyue's music here as well.

A better way to understand it is that he does not need to. He is able to perceive all that happens and all that will happen without physically being present. The sole exception to his perception being individuals from other worlds.

He mentioned something like that, yeah. But I was talking more about his people skills...

[THEY'RE BAD. Though Elliot doesn't sound mad about it, god or no god, he's used to people who aren't great with socializing. He gives a little shrug, seeming to decide something]

That's alright though. If he can't come out of that room, I'll just have to make sure to bring things to him.

It would be beneficial for someone to keep him company. His isolation is what makes him different... though he was not always like this. Before he became the God of Time, he enjoyed being a tourist.

Is that so...he did mention being from someplace else called "The first city". I guess he would've had to been a traveller at some point to come here.

[Whatever that meant. ]

Are you from there too? Or are you from Teyvat?

He is the only foreigner. We are all native to this world.

[ And by 'we', he means all the Archons. ]

I see ...

[He sounds empathetic as he says that. It can't be easy, his home was gone and he was in a world that wasn't the most welcoming of places. No wonder he seemed so willing to accept the other outsiders ... even gods can get lonely.]

Thanks, Zhongli. That clears some things up. Though Forneus aside, I do have one other matter I'd like to ask you about...

Well, you're the god of Liyue, right? So you must know just about everything that goes on here.

[He pulls out his ARCUS and flips it open. Looks like he's opening up an audio recording app. ]

So if you don't mind, I'd like you to tell me everything you can about music in Liyue. The history, instruments, styles, current trends, the differences from Mondstadt music- the more details the better!

[Run Zhongli. Save yourself because there is no wearing Elliot out when it comes to music.]

[ Who would win: Elliot or a guy who doesn't need to breathe to stay alive ]

I suggest we find a place to sit down. I will have some tea prepared, and then we can talk.

[I'll be real with you: it's a real hard call. Zhongli may be a TED talk-giving rock but Elliot's an obsessive music genius nerd. Immovable object meets unstoppable force.

But oh yes, you just made his week. He lights up]

We could use the inn's outdoor teahouse, yes. [ He's thinking... they should be able to use the space if he pays the keeper a rental fee. That would do, and the kitchen is hopefully in possession of some proper tea leaves. ] I shall see you there in half an hour?

[Yeah it'd be outright cruel to everyone to expect this to get threaded. These two are monsters.]

Alright! It's a date! ✨

[That's right he's basically sparkling. Half an hour is good. It gives him time to get his stuff and also whip up some snacks quick as a thanks. He'll get up to do just that]

Seeya then, Zhongli!

[He runs off. Looks like all his nerves about talking to Zhongli is gone. Love of music overrides anxiety every time. ]

[ Zhongli seems pleased by this arrangement as well. And this is how the Travelers will be able to attend a lecture on Liyue's music for three whole days. ]
