June Mingle: Time For A Hike
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Finally, it's time to leave Death Mountain for warmer climates. THe Travelers will begin their journey from Mondstadt to Liyue on the first of November, after packing up and saying goodbye the Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild. But worry not - if you ever miss the City of Wind and Song, it's possible to teleport back for a brief visit.

The Travelers will head out of Mondstadt through Stone Gate, cross Dihua Marsh and then reach the Guili Plains. You'll be camping out under the stars on some days, while getting to enjoy various roadside inns on other days - including the famed Wangshu Inn, all under Forneus' bill. But it does bring up a question: where did he get all that mora from?

Speaking of Forneus, it seems that he's too busy to accompany you on this road trip. Instead, Zhongli will serve as his stand-in. For those who do not know him well, he introduces himself as an Adeptus... and also the Geo Archon, who has enlisted your help to test his nation. What will you do?

State of the World

June will be a lighter period in the game for characters to bond with each other while traveling as a group, and later while exploring and trolling Liyue to the best of their ability. Forneus will not be available for the first two weeks as he is busy; instead Zhongli is tasked with answering questions in his place. A reference of the scenery your character might see on the way can be found in this video here! Feel free to check out Liyue's music here as well.

[ figaro will take his time as zhongli's approached by various people in their group for further inquiries regarding their next sojourn... and his true identity. which, in hindsight, made their previous conversations a lot more sense.

he'll watch his old friend from afar with an amused smile on his face, and once the other man's free he'll swoop down beside him. ​]

...You know, you could've told me from the start. [ a chuckle. ] Your hints are as subtle as a boulder falling into the water.

[pragmatism]

[ Zhongli greets Figaro with his usual warm smile, though it turns a touch amused once the other man addresses him. ]

A boulder, huh... [ Geo Archon much? ] I do apologize for not bringing up my identity earlier. However, I did not wish to distract anyone from the task at hand.

True... I assume that there was simply no time to talk about it while all that Dragonspine stuff went on. It's water under the bridge, don't worry about it.

[ waves hand, waves hand. ]

So, weren't you worried? About Forneus's plot.

[pragmatism]

[ Zhongli did agree to helping Forneus out with his plan. However: ]

His methods during our time in Mondstadt were rather unorthodox. I was not too guaranteed of its success, so I did put in some safeguards in case things went awry. However, they were not put to use in the end.

[ Which is good. When it comes to gods of this world, their aspects are both the source of their great power and also potentially their undoing. ]

But as for the situation in Liyue... it was I who requested his help specifically.

[extinctive]

And I suppose flinging around giant boulders wouldn't solve the problem completely.

[ he laughs. this man is so unlike oz at all. ]

But I wasn't just talking about that. He did mention to me that he was on a mission to put an end to those higher-ups in Celestia - would you be okay with that?

[pragmatism]

Once upon a time, stone spears would have solved all problems. But that time has since come to an end.

[ He's much different from the Morax millennia ago. Even gods can change, though only on a scale far longer than a human's lifespan. ]

Once, I believed their wisdom was right in preserving this world. But one cannot rule without being amongst one's subjects. Sequestering themselves above without care for mortals... it is not appropriate.
