June Mingle: Time For A Hike
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Finally, it's time to leave Death Mountain for warmer climates. THe Travelers will begin their journey from Mondstadt to Liyue on the first of November, after packing up and saying goodbye the Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild. But worry not - if you ever miss the City of Wind and Song, it's possible to teleport back for a brief visit.

The Travelers will head out of Mondstadt through Stone Gate, cross Dihua Marsh and then reach the Guili Plains. You'll be camping out under the stars on some days, while getting to enjoy various roadside inns on other days - including the famed Wangshu Inn, all under Forneus' bill. But it does bring up a question: where did he get all that mora from?

Speaking of Forneus, it seems that he's too busy to accompany you on this road trip. Instead, Zhongli will serve as his stand-in. For those who do not know him well, he introduces himself as an Adeptus... and also the Geo Archon, who has enlisted your help to test his nation. What will you do?

State of the World

June will be a lighter period in the game for characters to bond with each other while traveling as a group, and later while exploring and trolling Liyue to the best of their ability. Forneus will not be available for the first two weeks as he is busy; instead Zhongli is tasked with answering questions in his place. A reference of the scenery your character might see on the way can be found in this video here! Feel free to check out Liyue's music here as well.

[And by a little hurt, he means a stab wound. In other words- it's sus af and he will definitely abuse this and someone should probably put a stop to it ASAP ]

Okay, but I've seen you play off big wounds like it's nothing.

[This is massively the pot calling the kettle black, but they're both still painfully human without fancy regen skills. Jun is also still pretty young, ergo it's a bigger concern.]

Though... Is there a limit to how often we can use it?

[Does it run out of energy eventually? How do the heal bot statues work, Dad...]

It does have a limit. The statues collect the surrounding mana and concentrate them. If you draw out the reserves too quickly, it will need to accumulate mana for some time before it can be tapped again.

[ So no repeatedly running to the statue for heals, just like the Genshin game. ]

[Wow don't call him out like this??? Instead of defending himself and inevitably digging himself deeper into a hole, he'll instead turn around and throw her under the bus]

Yeah, so save some mana for other people and don't use it all up yourself by repeat visits, Ana.

[HOW COULD YOU JUN? THIS INEVITABLE BETRAYAL.]

[Says the woman who actively sought out a god for sparring and told him to not go easy on her. And also ate a dragon curse. "Not that bad" okay.]

Annnnnnywaaaaay... We have healers too, so that shouldn't be an issue. [Casually steering away from how she can't really deny what Jun said.]

But the statues will be handy in a pinch.

[ There's a knowing twinkle in Zhongli's amber eyes. ]

Do try not to get hurt. I worry for your safety.

[ Sure, Forneus can resurrect them, but it's generally not a good thing to do. ]

Yeah, Ana. Please do try to be careful! You don't want to make Zhongli worry more.

[Jun he meant you too, you brat]

[Her agitation seems to diminish a bit when Zhongli expresses his worry, seeming to deflate for a moment. But only for a moment.

Since she soon bristles again at Jun, huffing and planting her hands on her hips.]

He's talking about you as well, Jun!

But we - [Emphasis on the "WE".] - will try to be careful. I plan to try to see this mission to the end, anyway.

[ While his kids may be reckless, he trusts them to not go into suicide missions without consulting him first. Also it's kind of cute watching them try to dunk on each other... not that he'll ever say it though. ]

[He was probably about to go in for another attempt to dunk on Ana, but then Zhongli cuts in with a sincere and caring statement. His expression softens immediately]

Grandpa...

[It's not every day someone offers to protect a Seal Knight, but he also knows Zhongli is good for it. He's made that clear many times]

[Ana, meanwhile, is more stunned than anything. Nobody ever offers to protect someone like her, she's always been too strong to need it, and hearing Jun call him "Grandpa" makes her wonder...

Is this what having a parent-like figure look out for you is like? It's with that thought in mind that she ends up saying;]

It's... It'll be fine, Dad, I won't do anything too stupid. We won't.

[Yes, she's unaware of what she just called him. Instead folding her arms tightly as she tries not to cave in from Feelings.]

B-besides, I doubt Forneus would let anything awful happen to us after all the effort of bringing us here.

[ Both of his kids called him variants of 'dad'. He's winning.

With a slight smile, he gives both of them a pat on the head gently. That should convey enough of his emotions. ]

[whiteshroud]

[Aw yis headpat. He's used to Zhongli doing these to show affection, so he'll accept his readily.

But also...he heard that Ana. ]

Haha...you called him "Dad".

[Sure it's hypocritical considering he just called him grandpa, but also he knows Ana well enough to know that she probably didn't do it on purpose, and she's much more tsundere than him]

[The headpat is unexpected, but Ana still very much appreciates it all the same. Seeming to relax a little now... Until Jun says that. Immediately she whips around to protest that NO SHE TOTALLY DIDN'T. Except she did.]

T-that's - ! [She is mortified, she is distressed, and Zhongli heard her call him that and didn't say anything and just pat her on the head - ]

Y-you called him "Grandpa", I don't want to hear that from you!

[Except Jun meant it. Now she's going to just... groan and bury her face in her hands. The embarrassment now all-consuming.]

When does Forneus come back, I need him to erase me from every timeline...

[ That gets Zhongli to chuckle a little. Ana is a 'tsundere' it seems - and he learned that term from Jun just a while ago. ]

It makes me quite heartened to hear you say that.

[ Headpats done, he returns to his usual position. The fact that they're bickering makes them seem more like siblings too. Given both their upbringing, it's good that they have found someone they're comfortable enough with to do this sort of thing. ]

[Oh Ana, you reacted exactly as Jun predicted. A true tsundere, through and through. And boy, does he relish it. The fact that he's giving a devious little grin says as much]

Eh? I've been calling him that for months. There's nothing wrong with it, Ana. He does act pretty parental. [At least he's pretty sure, he didn't have parents ok.

[THIS LITTLE BRAT!! She's fallen into his trap, and Zhongli's response only heightens the embarrassment further - Ana grumbling under her breath as she folds her arms tighter. So Zhongli is glad she called him "Dad"? Does he really see her as his kid, then?

Not that she can dwell on this when once again Jun riles her up, spluttering at his words before shooting him a glare. Which is completely ineffective thanks to how flustered she is.]

No, no, absolutely not! Don't you dare, Jun!

[Then to Zhongli;]

Besides, I would be a terrible aunt, right? [What does an aunt even do? Lets ask Dad.]

There is no need to be too exact, I believe.

[ He's trying to pacify Ana a little. Hopefully she wouldn't feel the urge to punch Jun like she did to Forneus. ]

You could treat each other as siblings, if you like.

I don't know. I don't really know any aunts, so I don't know what they're supposed to do.

[Forneus is a special case, he always deserves punching especially since he offers.

And mercy has been granted, so she soon deflates; sighing softly and letting her feathers unruffle. But siblings? She doesn't really know how most family in general works.]

I don't really know either... I don't know if I even have any aunts. [Pause.]

I'll take being called "big sis" over "Auntie Ana", though. [She's no longer troll target, so she can roll with this maybe.]

Every family is different; unique to their members' personalities. There is no exact 'right' way. The bond of kinship and mutual respect are the most important.

[ He doesn't expect them to act like an average Liyue family. The two kids certainly don't have much experience. ]

As long as you are happy with the arrangement, then I am too.
