June Mingle: Time For A Hike
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Finally, it's time to leave Death Mountain for warmer climates. THe Travelers will begin their journey from Mondstadt to Liyue on the first of November, after packing up and saying goodbye the Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild. But worry not - if you ever miss the City of Wind and Song, it's possible to teleport back for a brief visit.

The Travelers will head out of Mondstadt through Stone Gate, cross Dihua Marsh and then reach the Guili Plains. You'll be camping out under the stars on some days, while getting to enjoy various roadside inns on other days - including the famed Wangshu Inn, all under Forneus' bill. But it does bring up a question: where did he get all that mora from?

Speaking of Forneus, it seems that he's too busy to accompany you on this road trip. Instead, Zhongli will serve as his stand-in. For those who do not know him well, he introduces himself as an Adeptus... and also the Geo Archon, who has enlisted your help to test his nation. What will you do?

State of the World

June will be a lighter period in the game for characters to bond with each other while traveling as a group, and later while exploring and trolling Liyue to the best of their ability. Forneus will not be available for the first two weeks as he is busy; instead Zhongli is tasked with answering questions in his place. A reference of the scenery your character might see on the way can be found in this video here! Feel free to check out Liyue's music here as well.

... this is the weirdest vacation.

Yeah. It still feels like we're working... Vacations are supposed to be restful. No fighting, no working. Just hanging out and sleeping a lot. Exploring is fine during vacations as long as you still rest.

[Resting was the number one most important part.]

[Jun goes quiet, looking actually a momentarily distraught at this explanation. He doesn't understand...he's been researching for months, ever since Zhongli invited him to see Liyue. He didn't think he's been working since coming here, but...Roxas was saying otherwise. Was he doing something wrong? Did he mess up with this whole "vacation" idea?]

[....No. That's not right. Zhongli promised him vacation time and Zhongli doesn't break his promises. And really, looking back on past interactions, Roxas is almost never happy with anything so of course he'd find a way to gripe. ]

It means you're always griping if things don't hold up exactly to your standards. Standards that aren't even fair!

Just now, you were unhappy because I was just polite to you, and then you turn around and describe me just as "someone you'll work with even though you disagree with me". How's that better?

Well, excuse me for having standards that are different from a perfect human being that's been alive for more than three years.

[Jun isn't exactly fair in some regards either.]

I know you never liked me, so why should I think of you as anything other than someone to work with? Why even pretend to be polite? I'd rather you be honest with me than throw fake niceties at me. And don't pretend you were happy to see me when I got here now that I know you're all about keeping secrets for people who don't even matter here over being a genuine person or friend. You've got crap standards yourself.

Perfect hum- [Jun makes a frustrated sound] Three years is more than what I've had!

[It cuts deep, hearing himself being described like Roxas is. Once upon a time, it was true. He was like that. But he'd been trying so hard to be different, to change for the better-]

Look, I know I have secrets but-- I wasn't being fake! I was being nice because I was hoping we'd be friends one day!

[Roxas huffs, glaring.] Just be happy you are human!

[.... Yeah, but he's still mad.]

I met you as Orden. You were really cold and standoffish... I really didn't like Orden, and yeah, even if you helped with the Silence as him, I still didn't like Orden much. [If he could swear, he'd say "Fuck Orden".] And then you without that mask act all polite and nice? Just what are you really? I don't know what to trust enough about you to try and be friends!

[As for the rest of what Roxas says, he goes quiet. He can't...deny that's how he'd behave. Still does sometimes. And while others in his life were willing to see past that or be patient with him, Roxas was not one of those people]

...In other words, you do dislike me. Not just "Orden", because he and I are the same person.

[He thought he'd improve things by being nice and polite out of uniform, but clearly Roxas seemed to hate that too. Which meant, he was at a loss for what to do. So...he'll fall back into the usual Seal Knight mindset: just accepting hatred.]

[..... Yeah. Roxas does not understand Jun at all. This was almost headache inducing. He dislikes Orden, but doesn't mind Jun except the secrets thing... They're supposed to be on vacation and this is not a vacation activity.]

I'm still new to this having a heart thing... But as soon as I figure out what these weird feelings in my heart are, I'll be coming for you!

[Time to jump off this height and safely make it to the ground with the glider. And then promptly running off to find a different hill to climb.]
