JUNE MINGLE

June Mingle: Time For A Hike
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Finally, it's time to leave Death Mountain for warmer climates. THe Travelers will begin their journey from Mondstadt to Liyue on the first of November, after packing up and saying goodbye the Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild. But worry not - if you ever miss the City of Wind and Song, it's possible to teleport back for a brief visit.

Speaking of Forneus, it seems that he's too busy to accompany you on this road trip. Instead, Zhongli will serve as his stand-in. For those who do not know him well, he introduces himself as an Adeptus... and also the Geo Archon, who has enlisted your help to test his nation. What will you do?
State of the World
June will be a lighter period in the game for characters to bond with each other while traveling as a group, and later while exploring and trolling Liyue to the best of their ability. Forneus will not be available for the first two weeks as he is busy; instead Zhongli is tasked with answering questions in his place. A reference of the scenery your character might see on the way can be found in this video here! Feel free to check out Liyue's music here as well.
For all questions regarding June's mingle and events, please head over to our OOC post.

[ Which is natural. The oldest of the Seven would command immeasurable power. ]
When we reach the end of this long journey, there will be no gods left to rule nor enact divine punishment.

So Forneus has told me.
[...Yeah, okay, no avoiding the inevitable, then.]
Has he spoken to you as to how he intends to bring that end about?

[ Zhongli closes his eyes. ]
As for what happens after... I am not at liberty to disclose at this moment. But there is a plan.

[His expression softens a little as he continues.]
When I first spoke with Forneus about this, he expressed that he intended for us to kill all of you. I think it's probably obvious how I feel about that plan already, [which is to say: NOPE. NO. NO THANKS, I HATE IT.] but moreover, I just...
[Hm. How to say this. He looks down.]
...There's a lot that I'm sure I, as a mortal, can't possibly understand. But regardless of what you are, you're one of us now. And while I can't speak for everyone else, [although he hopes most of them would be on board with him,] I've seen enough... [...Mm. He's not ready to use that word, not with the face that's crossing his mind.] loss.
Even if we don't really know one another, I don't want to lose you.

I am grateful that you look out for me. What Forneus seeks to eliminate is the source of our power; the 'throne' of our godhood. We can choose to give it up and thus live as a mortal being. As long as Liyue is able to survive without me, then I see no good reason to continue holding onto it.
[ a sigh, as if he had been contemplating such a thing for a long time ]
Not all gods will do so willingly, of course. Especially those who rule from Celestia instead of descending to earth.
