October Mingle
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
The Miko of the Grand Narukami Shrine has arranged for your passage out of Ritou and into the Inazuma islands at large. The nation has been gripped by an oppressive atmosphere ever since the enactment of the Vision Hunt Decree, and only someone unyoked by the Electro Archon can hope to break this stalemate.

Konda Village sits on the outskirts of Inazuma city. A pillar of its community now seeks to move out after losing his Vision. A samurai employed by the Shogunate is being accosted of hiding rations by his neighbours, and he has no recollection of ever dealing in such matters. Forgetting something seems to be the thread that links every former Vision holder's story together, yet their tragedies differ greatly in circumstance. Is the loss of a Vision truly so profound? If so, then why did the gods deliver such a poisoned gift to their people?

A mysterious priestess approaches you with a sincere request - Kazari seeks your aid in purifying the Thunder Sakura around Inazuma, as well as the Sacred Sakura on Mount Yougou. She tells you that these trees absorb the evil from the very land, but cannot dispel it without outside intervention. Here's where you come in: you need to dispel the sealing sigils around the holy trees, so that the filth accumulated within their roots can take form and then be swiftly cut down.

The seals, the trees, and Kazari herself are relics from the olden days - the mystical Inazuma, where kitsune and tengu lived and worked alongside humans and their god. But those days have since ended, and all that is left is a stifling eternity.

State of the World

The Land of Eternity is not without failings. By pursuing 'Eternity' and closing the doors of her nation, the Raiden Shogun has only made the lives of her people more difficult. Exploring the country may give you some clues as to how you can break her enforced stasis. You must first understand the situation of the nation, and then find the natives who also wish to change their world.

Oh, absolutely not, but I'm gonna be giddy about further proof of it not being me.

Just your measurements, so...to a hotel? Inn? Whatever we're calling them here, I don't know anymore.

[sufferean]

I think it probably depends on the place. But yeah, that'll work.

I've mostly just been staying in the teapot while we've been here, so...

[He's looking around to see if he can't find any clues on where to go.]

[drewthetower]

I mean, if you have a room in the teapot that'll work. Just anywhere you don't mind stripping.

[sufferean]

...Oh. [Yeah. That... that makes sense. Rean is not good at this thinking thing.] Yeah, that'll work.

All right, then, follow me, and I'll get us back there.

[...Is he going to have this bird on his head the whole way, though, or]

[Yes, yes he is. Julian is not sure he trusts you not to run off. Also? He's lazy.

But August will follow Rean, occasionally making a random comment about something along the way. Eventually:]

Wait, teapot?

[sufferean]

[That's going to make this trip a little more difficult. Rean is not used to balancing a Whole Bird on his head.

But when August asks, he turns his head a little (slowly, carefully) to look back at him.]

Yeah, didn't you know about them? We were each gifted a teapot... I think they're called "Serenitea Pots?" But there's a separate dimension inside of each of them, with houses for us.

[drewthetower]

....it's not meant for actual tea?

[sufferean]

...I mean, you probably could?

[Thinking...]

Or you've just created a sea of tea in the realm within. Not sure. Might be worth checking that out, actually.

[drewthetower]

Yeah, I'll do that later.

[Oops. Anyway.]

How do you even get in there?

[sufferean]

Uh...

[Rean's never really. Thought about it. So he has to take a moment to figure out how to word it.]

You kind of just touch it and focus on going inside and then... you get teleported in?

It's kind of weird, now that I think about it, but I'm used to something pretty similar back home. So I really didn't think that much about it until now.

[drewthetower]

[A beat.]

And it's just...a house inside?

[sufferean]

Yeah. A little bit of land, too, and a little spirit assigned to help you out if you need it. But mostly just the house, at least in mine.

I'm, ah... not the best at decorating.

[drewthetower]

I'm not gonna judge, I just wanna know if I can finally get a damn dressform.

[Priorities! But eventually August will just sort of.

Wait. In Rean's general direction.]

So. Teapot?

[sufferean]

Oh, I'm pretty sure you could. Elliot basically just uses his as storage for various instruments and musical stuff he keeps picking up.

[But, oh, August is waiting for something...? Ah.]

Right.

[Rean nods for August to follow, and then leads them to... wherever he's keeping his teapot right now. Details.]

Put your hand on my arm. I can get us all in there at once.

[He'd offer his hand, but... fabric...]

[drewthetower]

[And August will do just that!

And maybe close his eyes because what if his makes him seasick--]

[sufferean]

[Hopefully it doesn't!

Rean gingerly taps the teapot with his elbow, since... again, no hands.

One second, they're in Inazuma, and the next, they're on a plot of land just kind of floating in the clouds, with a simple Liyue-style house standing in the near distance.]

Okay, we're here! [Glancing back at August...] You all good?

[drewthetower]

[Yeah, no August has stumbled and is very clearly dizzy from all of that, dropping his bags and putting a hand to his head to try and not fall over.]

Fuck, that's almost as bad as holy water...

[He tries to straighten up, but that doesn't last long.]

[sufferean]

[Oh no.

Sorry, Julian, but the perch needs to move. It's awkward, but Rean manages to force all the fabric into being carried by one arm, reaching out to catch August with the other.

...He might lose some in the process. Sorry. At least the ground's not wet?]

I've got you, it's okay! Don't try to force yourself until you're ready.

[Rean tries to lead August to use him for support.

That August has outright said he thinks Rean is hot and therefore maybe this might be awkward has, naturally, not dawned on him.]

[Eh, August is too busy being dizzy to really care (but damn, he can certainly feel those muscles anyway).]

What the fuck, man. How do normal humans handle that shit...?

At worst, it feels kind of like abruptly stepping off of one of those moving staircases they had back in Roer.
