October Mid-Month Event
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Two weeks after the Travelers arrive in Inazuma, the conflict between the Shogunate and the Sangonomiya Resistance begin to intensify. At Forneus' behest, you venture west to survey the battlegrounds and consider your next move.

Heading west from Narukami Island will bring you to Kannazuka, the location of the Mikage Furnace. This furnace uses the power of the Tatarigami to produce high-quality swords for the Shogunate. However, sabotage by members of the Resistance have led to the furnace becoming unstable. The Shogunate's soldiers and the Shrine Maidens have set up camp on the island, but the two factions cannot decide on how to address the problem. That's where you come in. Unfettered by the chains of bureaucracy, you can act as you wish. Venture into the Furnace and stabilize it before it blows the island away.

Yashiori Island lies even further west. Its position means that it is currently the middle ground where the Shogunate and the Resistance skirmish. However, the fighting has died down due to torrential rain that blankets the island, as well as the intense Electro energy within Musoujin Gorge. Once, this island was the battlefield between the Raiden Shogun and Orobashi, with the latter defeated and sealed. However, someone broke its seals during the civil war, and the lingering resentment of the Serpent has possessed soldiers on the island, turning them violent.

Once again, a stalemate that can only be broken from the outside. This isn't anything new now, is it?

State of the World

The Sangonomiya Resistance have declared civil war on the Shogunate after the establishment of the Vision Hunt Decree. As you travel through Inazuma, you will eventually meet them, as well as their leader. It becomes evident that the two sides are locked in equal balance, and that the civil war does nothing good for anyone... which is why the overseer of the Narukami Shrine has asked you to come. You are unbound by any destiny, and thus able to tip the scales. But to do that, you will need a complete picture of the situation, and to solve problems that no one is willing to face.

No one has seen the Shogun out in public for quite a while. It seems that only a sufficiently grave danger will provoke her from within her castle. The enemy of eternity is change, and you are just that.

"Fuck the police," huh? I've heard they're pretty decent guys, at least the ones in Crossbell, but I've always prefered to do things my own way. I've always been something of a rebel.

So how do you now local "adorable pocket sized good boy" Elliot and "hilariously easily whipped" Rean, with cards like that?

Rean's less easily whipped than you'd think. But we went to the same school for a while. I was their upperclassmen, but I joined 'em in class to pick up some extra credits.

[So did you fail or just a slacker, dude?]

You say that, but it was so stupidly easy to get him to carry all of my shopping the other day and make him agree to letting me make him something that looks like clothes people actually wear.

[ Crow instantly perks up at that. ]

Oh thank the Goddess, I thought I was going to have to handle that myself!

Right? God, who let him dress himself? Why didn't Elliot stop him?!

Elliot is not exactly a bastion of style himself, he's just capable of picking out a decent look and sticking with what works. I would not trust him for fashion. And Rean's just hopeless. Great guy personality-wise, but he needs to be banned from buying himself clothes that aren't picked out for him in advance.

He was dressed like every middle schooler's first original character. He even has the sword for it. It was disgusting.

I have no idea what any of that means, but he's actually really good with that sword.

Oh, I wasn't doubting that. But, uh, basically I just said he had the fashion sense of a thirteen year old.

Haha, fair enough. But hey, if you can sew then maybe I should commission you for a few outfits. Paying jobs, of course.

Not a problem, if you want 'em. Only things I can't work with right now are denim and leather, and that's just because I don't have the stuff for it.

Damn, that takes out some of my outfit ideas. But I can work with those restrictions. Gimme a few days and I'll have some designs ready for you. —Actually, do you have Elliot's measurements? I'm assuming you've already got Rean's if you're making outfits for him.

I don't. He hasn't asked or anything, but maybe I should offer...

You should. I'd offer 'em myself, but the measurements I had are a couple years out of date and he's grown out of 'em by now.

Any idea by how much?

[ Crow shakes his head. ]

Unfortunately not. I dropped out of contact for a couple of years and haven't had a chance to get up close enough to figure it out.

[ He laughs at that. ]

Oh, I don't mean anything weird by it.

[ Crow pauses as if something about that really amuses him, then shakes his head. ]

Alright, that's fair. Let's just say I'd have to ask the guy and there's really no reason for me to do it.

[August is not gonna ask.]

When I deliver the latest piece to Rean, I'll ask Elliot. How likely is he gonna argue with me on it or try to say no?

He'll probably be startled until you tell him I'm involved, and then he'll sigh and say something like, "Why am I not surprised?"
