No sight of any strange or creepy green creatures just yet, but the thunder above them seemed more interested in making its presence more consistent rather then just staying contained to a few low rumbles in the distance.
Luckily, still no rain, so at least even without magical sight guiding them vision won't be impacted.
But, as they move further, there's the sound of bushes rustling...and Ledah's already brought out his Diviner, his weapon of choice. A strange red spear that would raise eyebrows from people unfamiliar with weaponry or combat.
In actuality, there's no danger just yet from those rustling bushes. Just wildlife, but he's prepared just in case and waiting for the animal to hop out. Better to make sure as far as he's concerned. ]

He does pause when he hears the rustling of the bushes. His hand reaches for his bow, just in case- but out comes what looks like a rabbit. Nothing more. He glances over at Ledah who...looks even more ready to go, ok]
Just a rabbit.

...
Jokes aside, the blond saw no monsters hiding behind innocent animals (look, that could've been a thing) and that was more than good enough for him. ]
It makes sense we haven't encountered an enemy or anything worthwhile right away.
[ And now to begin making his way up that cliff, assuming the other would move along as well, appropriately on guard as well. ]

Mm, I'd imagine anything closer to the main road would've been handled by the Knights by now.
[Not him, the actual knights in charge of this place. He keeps on walking, the terrain not bothering him too much. It's several more minutes before his Elemental sight picks up something]
We're getting closer.

But hey, the fact that the other could sense something meant that they were nearing their target. Naturally, Ledah hadn't so much as put away his spear.
He merely took it as more incentive to come closer, and so he did. Even high up here there were plenty of places for a creature or being to have cover. But, even with the sound of thunder, it didn't necessarily make the blond blind to some suspicious movement up ahead definitely more than twenty feet ahead, nearby a tree.
Lightning shot down some distance from the two, but didn't aid them so much in bringing blinding light temporarily. Afterwards, he'll speak. ]
I see something up ahead. Do you believe it's what we've been looking for?
no subject
His gaze leads him to the same tree. ]
Think so. There's dendro energy coming from it ... green.
[In other words, the green that had been mentioned in the mission statement]

It's time to completely fulfill the mission.
[ The blond had no intention of attempting flight in this weather, but he moved forward relatively quickly, steps as quiet as he could manage as he did so. The monster didn't exactly have the best view of either of them, and Ledah took advantage of that, swinging around to its blind side, tossing a spark of flame (courtesy of new powers) at it before stabbing forward.
At the very least Ledah's head on attack did well to stun and annoy it, as it hadn't gotten the chance to counter the blond's surprise attack. ]
no subject
[Knowing that he'll be long range for this, he lets Ledah make the first move. While shooting uphill isn't ideal, while the monster is stunned- he'll take the opening to fire an arrow infused with geo energy at it- knocking it back more.]
/pulls up gi wiki because what are monsters
Though, Ledah will bring up more flame attacks as it decided to try to bring more vines on the field, and of course this makes it let out distressed noises with the fire licking at the greenery.
It looks like it's beginning to try to escape, right as lightning strikes the tree nearby, making it catch fire. Which, coincidentally, didn't stop Ledah from pursuing the enemy. ]
no subject
Ledah watch the fire!
[Since he has a bad feeling you're not fireproof sir!! He will keep firing arrows at the monster that's trying to escape- hoping to slow or stop it in its tracks]
no subject
[ The explosion of fire around him didn't phase the Grim Angel, and he didn't even feel the burn on one of his hands from stray flames not borne from his magic due to adrenaline. He's all but forgotten his lack of protection against it. That's the thing about being used to being what he was; you take your defenses and abilities for granted.
And really, it's almost like he never lost them, except for the fact that his spells don't hit as hard as he liked and that there's less variety in what he could do.
Luckily, Jun manages to stop the monster in its tracks, and of course since it happened to have its back to Ledah who was fearlessly charging forward, it's not able to avoid being speared through by the angel's Diviner.
Needless to say, its a fatal blow, and ultimately thanks to the duo's exemplary teamwork, the monster keeled over, felled successfully as a fire raged in the background. Oh and that there's now a pillar of disturbed earth too.
The blond calmly began to make his way around to his ally, right as there was a bit of rain that started to come down, and stopped a little ways from the pillar. ]
It's been taken care of.
no subject
With rain coming down, he feels alright dissolving the pillar and jumping down to the wet ground. Someone else might scold Ledah for his recklessness, but Jun...doesn't feel much. Had he still had his healing power, he would've made the same call.]
Very well. See a healer when we return to town.
[He puts away his bow, walking around the dying fire to examine the monster's corpse. ]
no subject
The blond will note that it stung more than he expected, but, he'll linger still as the other took a closer look at corpse. ]
Find anything?
[ At the very least the monster's definitely not going to be getting up anytime soon. ]
no subject
Not detecting any unusual energy.
[In other words, it was probably a standard monster for this world. Nothing like what he was looking for. Oh well.
Before getting up, he'll be doing the time honored tradition for RPG characters- checking the body for loot. Seeing a pouch, he'll grab it and look inside. Most of it is useless, but he sees a few mora coins that he'll pick out.]
Here- [Tossing a couple his way! We split loot in this party]
no subject
But he'll take some of the loot thrown his way. ]
I believe we did the best we can do. We may as well head back.
[ He'll turn around to begin to do that, feeling like they were essentially done here. ]
no subject
Mission accomplished!]
