Looking for Chicks | Closed to Anastasia
Jun had been planning to do his jobs alone, just like he would back home, but the guild had insisted that he be assigned to a partner. While he felt it was a little unnecessary, he wasn't about to argue it.
And so now he waits near the farm for this partner to arrive before he starts with the search. He's in his uniform due to having nothing else to wear. He's got his hood up as well, simply because he's tired of random folks remarking on his young age. His excursions with mining being successful, he's even got a short sword and bow with him. Nice.
He wasn't expecting though to recognize the partner that's approaching. It's that woman who helped bandage him after he got stabbed, isn't it? He nearly says something- but then he remembers his interaction with Rean and his lack of memories. Boy, that was awkward.
So instead he decides to see if she reacts first- giving a simple wave as she approaches.]
no subject
Now she just has to go meet her partner, blinking rapidly when she notices a familiar figure. Squinting at him for a moment, processing that yes, that's him cloak and all. She really is meeting a lot of people from the island here...
His wave is returned cheerily, and he doesn't have to wonder for long if she would recognize him;]
So you're here too! At least you're in better shape than the last time we met.
no subject
Yes, I am. Thank you for your help before. [He never did have a chance to thank her before] Seems a number of us from that island are here.
no subject
No problem. Though I imagine we'll need to be more careful here. [Since oops no regen allowed, at least not until later.]
That's an odd coincidence though... But I've noticed some people who I never saw on the island either. Do you think that place is up to something, Jun?
[Yes, she is going to just namedrop right then and there.]
no subject
[So today's goal is NOT to get stabbed!
He pauses just slightly at hearing his name being dropped like that. But well, almost everyone else from the island here has figured it out...what's one more.]
I can't be sure, but I don't think so. If I were to guess, being already away from our worlds made us easy to find for the one who brought us here.
Storytime | Closed to Ed
At first, it's not clear why the guild insisted on assigning a partner to Jun for this job. It's just providing story ideas, right? That's not dangerous.
However it will become much clearer when Jun cheerfully finishes up his story pitch and holds it out for Ed to see.]
Here! How's this?
[The page reads:
The Case of La Llorona
Legends say there's a ghost of a woman who drowned her own children and was barred from the afterlife until she finds them. So now her soul wanders the banks of rivers at night dressed in white, searching for them as she wails. It's said if she happens upon any children, she'll grab them and drag them to the river to--
Well. As you can imagine, it gets worse from there.]
no subject
This is supposed to be for all ages, idiot!
[ Ed, you could be nicer about it. It's not like he hates ghost stories, but how gruesome an ending is this going to have??? ]
no subject
[Jun that perhaps says more about your childhood than anything else]
no subject
[ TCH he says! Ed yanks the story closer to himself. Alphonse would be way better at this - he's always been good with kids, animals, and people in general - but in the meantime Ed's sure he's better at it than greenie over here. ]
No, look, kids want heroes that blow things up!
[ Read: Edward wants that. ]
no subject
You really think so...?
[He doesn't actually know himself. It's not like he interacts with children almost ever. Is that the kind of things normal children like?]
Mm...I suppose shonens are full of stuff like that...

Cupcake Delivery | Closed to Tio
Jun knows full well he looks a little ridiculous being wearing his knight uniform while delivering food, but it wasn't like he had any other clothes right now. And after tiring of all the remarks about his age from random folks, he's decided to wear his hood up.
There's more cupcakes to be delivered than he could carry in one trip, so he's waiting on his partner. He doesn't know who she is, but he's going to take a guess at the girl approaching]
Tio Plato?
[There's no hiding his high voice without his magic or the fact he's 5'3", but what can you do]
no subject
[His hood does earn a raised eyebrow from Tio, but that's it. It's not like he's any stranger than Yin. Or Wazy.]
Correct. I'm your partner for this commission.
no subject
Alright. I'm Jun Kohinata.
[No point in not using his real name here, seeing as he had no means to keep up secrecy here without his powers.
... ]
Cute headphones.
[What. He's still a nerd.]
no subject
[PLEASE NO, one Wazy was enough.]
[She nods.]
These are my aeon system. Back home, they magnify my tracking abilities. Here, they seem to be useless.
[Nerd, meet nerd.]
Regardless, that should not pose a problem for this job.
[How hard could it be to deliver a bunch of cupcakes?]
no subject
Mm, we got an address, so we should be fine.
[He'll go over to the counter, letting the staff know they're here for the cupcakes. While they wait, he looks back over at Tio with interest over the aeon system]
What do they track?

Ghost Hunting | Closed to Ledah
Jun had accepted this mission without any hesistation. Investigations of the paranormal was part of his duties as a knight after all. And so he's outside of Mondstat, waiting on the main road for his partner to show.
....
[Those storm clouds don't look too promising. It'd be a pain to fight in the rain]
no subject
Also, he had wings.
That being said, he was a warrior. A harbinger of the god's will. He wouldn't allow rain to hinder him from defeating any foes.
Anyway, Ledah arrived right on time. ]
I'll assume you're ready.
[ He'll state plainly, and begin to make his move without flinching at the sound of thunder in the distance. He's not really the greatest conversationalist, but at the least both of them had met before. ]
no subject
I am.
[As he moves, Jun will move with him. Not being a great conversationalist either while on the job, he doesn't mind moving in silence. Already he's using his elemental sight, trying to pick up any traces of their target. ]
no subject
No sight of any strange or creepy green creatures just yet, but the thunder above them seemed more interested in making its presence more consistent rather then just staying contained to a few low rumbles in the distance.
Luckily, still no rain, so at least even without magical sight guiding them vision won't be impacted.
But, as they move further, there's the sound of bushes rustling...and Ledah's already brought out his Diviner, his weapon of choice. A strange red spear that would raise eyebrows from people unfamiliar with weaponry or combat.
In actuality, there's no danger just yet from those rustling bushes. Just wildlife, but he's prepared just in case and waiting for the animal to hop out. Better to make sure as far as he's concerned. ]
no subject
He does pause when he hears the rustling of the bushes. His hand reaches for his bow, just in case- but out comes what looks like a rabbit. Nothing more. He glances over at Ledah who...looks even more ready to go, ok]
Just a rabbit.

Fisherman's Toast | Closed to Ganyu
Another day, another delivery. Jun can't say he finds these mundane delivery jobs very interesting, but he knows he can't be too picky when he needs to make ends meet. He just has to remember this is the kind of work Kou does, so he shouldn't complain. So he's waiting outside of Good Hunter for his partner. When he sees Ganyu approach? He's a little surprised]
Oh, it's you.
[Even if he's got his hood up, it's probably easy to recognize the voice of that boy from the other day. Plus you know, the uniform does stand out]
Two Miners and a Minor | Closed to Seonho & Hwi
Jun's never been mining before, but it did seem like the best way to get a weapon. Not to mention, if Geo Users did have an easier time with it...well, then so much the better.
Just outside of Mondstat's gates, he waits for his assigned partners to arrive. While waiting, he's kneeling near a patch of dirt, practicing manipulating the earth energy like Zhongli taught him. He's getting better at it, moving the dirt around to draw random patterns in the dirt like someone would if they were doodling in a notebook without actually touching it.
Ok so he might also just be bored. Either or. ]
no subject
He glances around for Jun -- someone who Hwi's expressed familiarity with (but who Seonho doesn't know yet, and thus has no idea that they share a connection beyond just 'Hwi') -- and makes the guess that the boy they're looking for is the one kneeling down and concentrating on the ground.
He seems to be the only other Vision user around, after all. (and it's interesting too, because Seonho can't recall anyone else he's met who can manipulate earth. perhaps their forging quest won't go so badly this time?)
He looks to Hwi, eyebrows raised in question. better let Hwi call out to Jun first, if this is the person they're looking for.]
no subject
so!! Hwi's indeed calling out as he approaches, pretending he's doing it because he decided he wanted to address him first and not because Seonho prompted him with a look, he's not the boss of him, wow, ]
Jun? [ a wave!! ]
[ should he introduce Seonho...? FINE... whatever... ]
This is Nam Seonho. We are from the same world, so try to put up with him tagging along. [ :) ]
no subject
Hey Hwi! [And as for his friend....oh wait, that guy is familiar. He was in fogtown wasn't he? But after his encounter with Rean resulting in an interrogation, Jun decides to set this fact aside unless Seonho brings it up] Nice to meet you, Nam Seonho.
