APRIL MINGLE

April Mingle: Song of the Dragon and Freedom
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.

As time continues to reset itself, a certain restlessness and sense of anticipation begins to build up in Mondstadt, as if the whole world itself is waiting with bated breath. At last, the final light barrier unlocks itself, and Dvalin awaits the outlanders amidst a vortex of howling winds. All that remains is to remove the poisonous spikes that torments him, and his tears shoudl fall no more...

With the passages of long years and amid boudless darkness, even the purest gem will become dulled by dust, and even the noble dragon might be corrupted and cankered by hatred. But never forget that dust can be wiped away, and the power of doubt and poison can be shattered. These are the thoughts that Venti sends off with the outlanders - should any of them fall from the tower, he'll be there to give them a quick hand back up.

Dvalin is a powerful and ancient dragon, but it soon becomes evident that he doesn't have the heart to kill the people who have come to see him. However, a team effort is still necessary to distract him so that others can snipe at the toxic spines stuck through his body. Once the last thorn is pulled free, the curse is violently ejected from Dvalin's body and the howling winds finally cease.

The next five days are a blur - when you wake up, the city has decorated itself in a celebration of love, friendship, and freedom - a perfect conclusion for a rather harrowing period in Mondstadt's history. As repayment for your help in solving the Stormterror crisis, the games and food stalls put up for the festival will not charge anything for participation.

Music, gift exchanges, shooting and gliding competitions are just seeral of the various activities organized by the Knights of Favonius. With the peace returned to Mondstadt, your trip to Teyvat now seems poised to become a vacation - but the job of a hero is never done, and a little nocturnal bird leads you to a mysterious glowing door beyond which answers await.

State of the World

On August 31st, the last barrier in Stormterror's Lair dissipates, allowing characters to ascend to the top of the tower and confront the dragon Dvalin. Battle is inevitable, though the goal is not to kill the dragon, but to remove all the toxic spikes that Abyss Mages have embedded into his body. After liberating Dvalin from his grief and poison, characters return to Mondstadt lauded as heroes - just in time for the Windblume Festival! It's time for a short but well-earned vacation... and it seems your mysterious host has a message for you too.

[ Ledah was a being created to carry out a purpose given to him by the gods (originally from his world), so memory wiping was not so bothersome as it'd be to him than others. Truthfully, he had little interest in asking questions, but...

Maybe he should. Logically speaking, it could help with shedding more light. Which was a more acceptable thought than thinking of it as a mere impulse. ]

When did you decide any action on your part was necessary? And how would you 'show' us this truth?

[ He'll nod at the question poised to him. Another mission, but one that would provide answers and context. He saw no other decision but to go. ]

...Going back to your answer to my first question, I assume what you implied was that when you realized humanity shouldn't be punished, that is when you decided to do something? Why is it you were the only god who decided this?

[ It's interesting to him, that someone so high above would take personal interest in the likelihood of others. It's not like the gods of his world hadn't cared, but he couldn't imagine any one of them being so willing to show themselves like this to humans. ]

I've no interest in doing that.

[ If they reveal themselves to him, that's fine on its own; if they don't, then they don't. To him it's already enough to hear that there were other gods who had decided to pitch in. ]

Though, now I ask what your plan is should Celestia invite its wrath on you?

...

[ In all honesty, Ledah owed the man his life just by being here. To having another chance to see it all through.

Giving it again would be no problem, but its true he didn't come here just to die. ]

That's convenient. I see you have also considered that as a potential outcome.

Of course, you never struck me as thoughtless, so I expected that you'd be able to provide a somewhat suitable answer.

Which leads me to this: What will be done with us if we're successful in changing history? Sent home, I assume?

... It is unlikely for me to take such a course of action, but I will acknowledge that as an option for consideration.

[ Ideally, Ledah should return home and resume his duties as a Grim Angel properly. Though, he's not sure if that's what he wants either. It's not something he thought about much...what he wanted, or where he'd go (before, he'd been rather certain, that's why.) ]

For the time being I have nothing else to ask you of, as your answers have been satisfactory.

[ That and he's always been a soldier at heart, he believed. Asking in-depth questions weren't exactly his specialty. ]
