MAY MINGLE

May Mingle: Entombed City
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Everyone's hard work resulted in the gate to upper Dragonspine opening. These ruins have not been traversed in years, if not centuries - everything within has been lost to time and living memory. An entire city has been buried in the snow.

Traces of technology can be found in the city - golden boxes that contain crystals capable of recording and playing back holograms. One of the boxes introduces this place as Vindagnyr; a land once full of greenery and life. Just what happened to these people? What caused the eternal winter?

The city's inhabitants worshipped Celestia. Why then were they left to die?
State of the World
On October 1st, the entombed city of Vindagnyr becomes open for exploration. Travelers can choose to look for clues or try to scavenge the city for ancient materials or tools. Recording boxes all around the city tell stories of Vindagnyr's greener past, and of the days when winter suddenly arrived. This is the cruelty of Celestia that Forneus wished you to see.

...Mm, yeah. I think I'll pass on trying one for now. [SOUNDS SHADY and also shadow is not an element he gets along well with thanks] I hope Forneus holds up his end of the deal to send us back to our worlds when this is finished, so we won't have to use them.

If he doesn't, then we just have to fight him.

Is fighting your Plan B to everything ...?

[Yeah. Doesn't surprise him]
Well, I recommend not picking a fight with him. Time gods are typically considered among the strongest of the gods.

I'm here to help. Unlike the last place we were in, this time I remember making that promise. There won't be a reason fight if I can go home once we've helped and aren't needed anymore. There's people waiting for me after all.

[He gives a little shrug]
He'll probably hold to it. From what I understand, he's under a strict contract he has to follow.

Mm. Not all of them, but there's many that do. With both mortals and other gods.
I'd advise being careful about entering such a contract yourself though. They can be...tricky.

...I'm going to buy supplies to bring back to camp. I suggest you go look around town. These are some of the people we're being asked to help...it'd be good to get familiar with them.

[People who could cause trouble or anything?]
no subject
It's the middle of the day, so I doubt anyone will try to cause trouble. If you're hungry, the Good Hunter on the main street has some pretty good food.
no subject
Right. [Wait] What money do they use here?
no subject
[He wouldn't have any money being new. So Jun will reach in a pocket of his uniform and pull out a fistful of coin. It's definitely enough to pay for a meal, and maybe some other odds and ends depending on how Roxas spends it.]
There. That should be enough. I'll meet you back here in an hour, okay?
no subject
[Wait wait wait!! Roxas looks a bit panicked now.]
I can't take this! Just tell me how I can earn my own mon-... Mora. I know I just got here, but there's gotta be something I can do.
no subject
Well, you can take commissions from the Adventurer's Guild, but any of those requests will take more than an hour.
Just take it for now. You can pay me back later if it bothers you.
[Though, he won't remind Roxas about any owed money, since he doesn't actually care about it]
no subject
I will!
[As soon as he can. Roxas will just mumble a thanks after and go to scurry off to explore for the next hour.]
no subject
Jun meanwhile will go his own way. He makes a point to buy a couple odds and ends that comes to mind supply wise...but let's be real, he's going to spend most of this hour finding some roof to sit on and stare into void. Between the dead city and this roller coaster of a reunion, it's been a day.]
no subject
Roxas has no excuse.
He'll be nicer in the future. Maybe. If there's less dead things involved.]
