MAY MINGLE

May Mingle: Entombed City
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Everyone's hard work resulted in the gate to upper Dragonspine opening. These ruins have not been traversed in years, if not centuries - everything within has been lost to time and living memory. An entire city has been buried in the snow.

Traces of technology can be found in the city - golden boxes that contain crystals capable of recording and playing back holograms. One of the boxes introduces this place as Vindagnyr; a land once full of greenery and life. Just what happened to these people? What caused the eternal winter?

The city's inhabitants worshipped Celestia. Why then were they left to die?
State of the World
On October 1st, the entombed city of Vindagnyr becomes open for exploration. Travelers can choose to look for clues or try to scavenge the city for ancient materials or tools. Recording boxes all around the city tell stories of Vindagnyr's greener past, and of the days when winter suddenly arrived. This is the cruelty of Celestia that Forneus wished you to see.

[ Even if Byakuya was terrible, Ledah still viewed things for the most part in a logical manner, whether or not this was having a little bit of an effect on him or no. ]
But, the reason why I asked you this question is that I imagine you would have a unique perspective on the matter. [ Beat. ] I find I wasn't in error.
[ Yet, it was disappointing, though he supposed expected. If Byakuya thought further along the matter, he would likely keep such things to himself, as those thoughts or opinions may be bound to be the opposite of helpful and alienating to allies, him included. Or perhaps he still expected too much of him...he seemed to be a monster, after all. ]

I'm not good at that kind of stuff, so I don't think it's worth wasting my time when I would probably be wrong anyway. Just tell me what to fight, what to kill, and I'll handle it.
[ Said with that creepy curious energy of his and a small grin. Really he is going to make an effort to try harder but...baby steps. ]
Would it help if I said I wanted to eat them?

[ That's actually not the only reason why he pointed out Byakuya shouldn't lean against a tomb, but it's the first that came.
...That being said, that sure was a response he had received. At first, his reply was understandable because he's mostly the same way due to being a being created for war and battle, but his interactions with Jun had...well, the thought was lost in somewhere because of Byakuya's follow-up. ]
No. It wouldn't.
Those who perpetuated this disaster should not linger in any shape or form.
[ Oh. ]
Moreover, the consumption of gods is something I can't abide. I'm sure the others feel the same.

Spoilsport. It's not like there's any Gods around for me to eat anyway, besides Forenus. And I owe him so I would never.

Though he was five seconds from making an expression of disapproval. This conversation had simply convinced the Grim Angel he will need to continue to keep an eye on him. Sometimes, the fact Forneus recruited this man was something hard for him to fathom. That being said, it's interesting he stated he owed him; at the very least betrayal did not seem likely due to that. But words were insufficient compared to actions down the road. ]
It is good you show loyalty towards our benefactor. We can't have anything impeding our mission.
Though, I assume that by you 'owing' him means that he gave you something for your assistance.
[ He'll finally stop looking around; there's nothing of interest in the immediate area. Or that was what he concluded so far. ]

And he's nice to me too. [ He's not finishing the first thought because his feelings on that are just a mess right now. ]
Even if some of this stuff is boring. [ Byakuya has apparently concluded the same, Ledah having sufficiently chided him enough for him not to go grave robbing. ]

He certainly could be far worse, but he isn't, and it's something to be appreciated on my end as well.
[ Forneus, with the power he had, could have always done worse. Make them more subservient, he imagined. ]
It appears that there are some matters we have the same opinion on, nonetheless.
