MAY MINGLE

May Mingle: Entombed City
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Everyone's hard work resulted in the gate to upper Dragonspine opening. These ruins have not been traversed in years, if not centuries - everything within has been lost to time and living memory. An entire city has been buried in the snow.

Traces of technology can be found in the city - golden boxes that contain crystals capable of recording and playing back holograms. One of the boxes introduces this place as Vindagnyr; a land once full of greenery and life. Just what happened to these people? What caused the eternal winter?

The city's inhabitants worshipped Celestia. Why then were they left to die?
State of the World
On October 1st, the entombed city of Vindagnyr becomes open for exploration. Travelers can choose to look for clues or try to scavenge the city for ancient materials or tools. Recording boxes all around the city tell stories of Vindagnyr's greener past, and of the days when winter suddenly arrived. This is the cruelty of Celestia that Forneus wished you to see.
For all questions regarding May's mingle and events, please head over to our OOC post.

What happened to this city, this is likely the source.
[Then he doesn't say anything else as the doors give way in near silence and they're within the temple proper. It looks like the buildings outside, but there are heaps of snow and ice on the floor and walls, as the cold wind flows, seeming to come from deeper inside.
He forces himself not to breathe in and calls a small amount of wind to his hand, holding it close enough to the fireball that it turns orange and red, carrying that warmth in the confines of the wind.] I don't see any bodies.
[Not yet. But there will be more bodies for sure.]

[ cryo is too pervasive on this mountain to avoid, no matter where they are... but it will be interesting if they find someone inside, won't it? maybe someone who tried to find the source of the magic to free their people... or just some priests in a block of ice, who knows! ]
We'll know when we find the cause of it.

The cold is worse this way.] At least it makes it obvious which way to go. Cold is worse this way.
[What he wouldn’t give to be able to be himself. Fur would be better. He touches the stone and jerks his hand back.]
Don't touch the walls.[The stone is so cold it feels like it burns the skin.]
