MAY MINGLE

May Mingle: Entombed City
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Everyone's hard work resulted in the gate to upper Dragonspine opening. These ruins have not been traversed in years, if not centuries - everything within has been lost to time and living memory. An entire city has been buried in the snow.

Traces of technology can be found in the city - golden boxes that contain crystals capable of recording and playing back holograms. One of the boxes introduces this place as Vindagnyr; a land once full of greenery and life. Just what happened to these people? What caused the eternal winter?

The city's inhabitants worshipped Celestia. Why then were they left to die?
State of the World
On October 1st, the entombed city of Vindagnyr becomes open for exploration. Travelers can choose to look for clues or try to scavenge the city for ancient materials or tools. Recording boxes all around the city tell stories of Vindagnyr's greener past, and of the days when winter suddenly arrived. This is the cruelty of Celestia that Forneus wished you to see.
For all questions regarding May's mingle and events, please head over to our OOC post.

[No actual injury though! He will then resume channeling the ameno magic, and the air swirls gently around Tsuru as it tries him off. It's cold, but he tried to make it warm as possible.
He also may have put in some healing with it, so it'll feel kinda pleasant and soothing.]
...There. That'll keep it from bruising later.
no subject
Still holding his face,)
I wouldn't mind.
(If the mark stayed. The wind is at least warm enough to melt the much colder ice though which falls with a clunk into the snow.)
Ah, that's better.
no subject
Tsuru dried off, he'll cease with the wind and rub the back of his head]
Yeah...sorry again about this. Usually when something jumps out at me in a place like this, it's to attack so... I guess reflexes just kicked in.

I was the one who was surprised in the end. It's fine.
no subject
[The guy seems pretty fine with getting surprised by that. Which is good.
...
"the one in white who likes surprises". He wonders]
...Hey, are you Tsuru?
no subject
(He sure is Tsurumaru.)
And you are?
no subject
[Suspicion confirmed!]
Ookurikara was looking for you. Said you wore white and liked surprises.
no subject
(He might as well formally introduce himself in return. Ah, but... He lights up at the mention of Ookurikara,)
Is he? How long has he been looking? (Why does he sound so excited. Because the longer Ookurikara is looking, the more surprised he'll be when Tsurumaru finds him instead of course.) Well, he was right. Did he say anything else?
It isn't often I hear what Ookurikara thinks... he doesn't express himself very well, you know?
(JUST GONNA START DOXXING HIM)
no subject
Eheh...yeah, I think that's something of an understatement.
[Kara is a good person who clearly cares about his fellow comrades. Elliot could see that much. But boy...talk about someone that's really hard to talk to. ]
I don't know how long he's been looking. He just seemed concerned about leaving you alone here for too long. [He pauses briefly, before saying the next part a little more carefully] I guess he thought this city might remind you of something difficult.
[Which, Elliot can relate to that. This city had been reminding him of some times in his life he much rather forget but knew he never could. Though what those memories are for Tsuru...Well, it's up to this guy if he wants to share them]

(JUST GOING TO KEEP DOXXING HIM. Just speaking lightly and casually like he's speaking about something totally ordinary. It's totally ordinary to out Kara to strangers? Yes.
But ah, as Elliot continues speaking, something seems to change. His smile is the same-- perfectly mischievous and carefree but it seems like the emotion drains, he becomes just slightly more subdued, and his eyes have less of a troublesome spark and more of a distance to them,)
Did he say that...? (He hums,) Hmm... He was right.
It isn't my first winter, so there's no reason to worry.
no subject
[He watches the change in Tsuru's demeanor. It's subtle for sure, but this isn't Elliot's first time dealing with people like this. He can pick up on those finer details. When the smile becomes less sincere, when pain starts to appear in the eyes. The intentional vagueness.
He had to learn how to pick up on such cues the hard way. He wonders if things would've changed if he had known earlier. Had he seen those important signs. But there was no changing the past.
Instead all he can do is what he can do right now...]
...Seems like he's not the only one with a sensitive heart to protect.
[And that's to call Tsuru on his bullshit]
no subject
He isn't. But if you decide to keep looking for more, you might never stop.
no subject
Don't worry, I'm not looking to be your therapist today.
[He'll look away at Tsuru and gaze out on the ruinous scenery. ]
This place stirs up some bad memories for me too. Just trying to keep it together in front of the others is about the extent of what I can manage right now.

(WHAT'S A THERAPIST...)
no subject
It's a doctor that helps you with mental and emotional issues.
no subject
(How convenient.)
no subject
no subject
It sounds more like a friend than a doctor, then.
no subject
no subject
(Shrugs. He doesn't need a therapist so?)
Then it must be unimportant.
(Who needs a therapist when you have friends? Yeah. YEAH!! Anyway, he's going to turn on his heel, making sure his robe and sleeves are extra fwoosh-y as he does so,)
Ah, I should go look for Kara, then... it's been long enough.
no subject
Yeah, you should. He's probably still wondering where you are.
