May Mingle: Entombed City
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Everyone's hard work resulted in the gate to upper Dragonspine opening. These ruins have not been traversed in years, if not centuries - everything within has been lost to time and living memory. An entire city has been buried in the snow.

People once lived there. The broken buildings host damaged furniture and weathered streets. There are various cloth-covered mounds in a house here and there, accompanied by a sprig of blue flowers. Someone has laid these people to rest after they passed away.

Traces of technology can be found in the city - golden boxes that contain crystals capable of recording and playing back holograms. One of the boxes introduces this place as Vindagnyr; a land once full of greenery and life. Just what happened to these people? What caused the eternal winter?

The highest point in the city is occupied by a temple built into a Domain. Within the Domain is a pale white tree, split in half by a strange object that has fallen through the Domain's ceiling. This temple was once a site for worship for Vindagnyr's people, and even in death they continue to pray for salvation. The priests have been frozen in ice, and the sheer cold emanating from the Skyfrost Nail makes it obvious that it is the cause of winter.

The city's inhabitants worshipped Celestia. Why then were they left to die?

State of the World

On October 1st, the entombed city of Vindagnyr becomes open for exploration. Travelers can choose to look for clues or try to scavenge the city for ancient materials or tools. Recording boxes all around the city tell stories of Vindagnyr's greener past, and of the days when winter suddenly arrived. This is the cruelty of Celestia that Forneus wished you to see.

[Cue some more loud laughter from Ana, trying hard not to double over so that she doesn't drop him. TRULY THE ANGRIEST CRANE BURRITO. But oh no he's mad... Nah, she regrets nothing.

However she eventually grants mercy on him, finally putting him down when they're next to the camp fire.]

There, see? Totally fine and unharmed!

[cranelike]

(He is just a crane wrapped in a sheet with his back turned to Ana and his arms crossed because he is 10 and refuses to acknowledge her after SUCH MISTREATMENT)

[nefilim]

[No if she laughs again he might get more upset. But she really wants to. She really, really wants to.

But she does shift closer to sliiiiiightly peer over his shoulder.]

C'mon, you didn't find that fun at all? Not even a tiny bit?

[cranelike]

I was manhandled!

(Just gonna step away and around to make sure his back is definitely facing her again. He's going to keep doing this.)

[nefilim]

I carried you gently! And I carried you how you asked too!

[No she's gonna keep following him... They're gonna keep spinning around.]

[cranelike]

(Huffs.)

The only one who can carry me is myself and my master.

(Because he's a very loyal sword. And just going to keep the dance up....)

... What do you want?

[nefilim]

Fine, fine. Next time I'll ask if I can carry you.

[Implying there might be a next time.

But oh, right, back to the reason why she manhandled him in the first place.]

You were trying to escape your chores! So I brought you back to help, since it's our turn to cook tonight.

(Ask him next time! Because he isn't opposed to it happening again maybe.)

[cranelike]

(And at the mention of chores,)

Well, then I'm off.

(Good bye. He's leaving. He's MAKING A BREAK FOR IT.)

[Wait what -

Oh he's -

OH NO YOU DON'T

As he goes to swoop away, Ana will be reaching for the back of his canvas blanket to pull him back. GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!!!]

You aren't going anywhere! You're helping whether you like it or not!!

[cranelike]

(SHE PULLS THE CANVAS AND HE JERKS BACK, slips on the snow and crashes.

He falls backwards and just stares up at her.)

Do I look like a kitchen knife?

[nefilim]

[OOPS... At least the snow means a soft landing.

And as he stares up at her, she just sparkles down at him.]

Nope. But you have two hands which can hold a kitchen knife. So you're helping.

[She will not allow you to escape, Tsuru.]

[cranelike]

(Mumbling,)

An imperial treasure reduced to kitchen duty. The disrespect.

(...)

Help me up.

(Holding out one hand. Help him.)

[nefilim]

[She hears those mumbles, and she just gives him the widest grin in response. Still full of zero regrets.

But she's nice(??) enough to help him up when he requests it, reaching for his hand and pulling him up.]

So, you gonna cooperate now?

[cranelike]

(Sitting up in the snow, still holding her hand and....








Huffs.

He could pull her down but he'll let it go. So he'll get back onto his feet and dust himself off,)

I'll see what surprises I can make...

(Fine. He'll help. For now.)

[nefilim]

[Okay, good, he isn't gonna fight her about this. For now.

Though she raises her brows when he mentions surprises; keeping a hold of his hand for now as she leads them back.]

Please don't make too many surprises, we actually need to eat this.

[cranelike]

I know not to waste resources!

(He has his priorities in order? But he'll let Ana drag him along like he's a child, making grumpy faces the entire time because he is, in fact, a child.)

[nefilim]

Then I'll be trusting you with this!

[Little does she know the negative amount of points he has in cooking....

But Tsuru is finally released when they get back in front of the fire, the pot having already been set up and prepped.]

It's just gonna be a stew we're making. I managed to bring up some supplies from Mondstadt so it should be nice and filling.

[Perks of being able to fly again is that she doesn't have to hike up and down the mountain constantly.]

[cranelike]

(She's really making him cook





And yet, his pride won't let him admit he sucks? So he's just going to stare at the pot warily and shift from one foot to the other like he might make another run for it? Like he's looking for an escape route?

But really, he just has no idea what he's doing here.)

... What's in it?

[nefilim]

[YES SHE IS.

Though she notices his shuffling, wondering for a moment if he is going to run again. But no, it just seems like he's not certain what to do. Well, that's easily remedied.]

Just meat and vegetables, nothing complicated. [She says as she sits back, ready to... peel some potatoes. Which she does in quick and practiced motions, only pausing to motion him towards the box of veggies.]

Could you chop up those and add them to the pot?

[cranelike]

(Chopping vegetables. he can do that... he can do this. Ana you don't even know what you've gotten them into and Tsurumaru is too proud to admit it.

And honestly, even if he was humble, he wouldn't say a word for the sheere chaos factor.

He'll take some carrots. And some onions? Maybe some more onions. How many onions does a stew need... do not perceive him because he's going to cut a lot of onions and carrots. He's good at cutting! It's the one thing he's good at in the kitchen.

When he dumps the first batch of vegetables in, he pokes at it a bit with a spoon and




drops the spoon in the pot. Just gonna leave it, poke it all down with another spoon, and leave it at the side of the pot.... which will also drop into the pot eventually. This is all fine.

Now this is a stew with a lot of onions and 2 spoons.)

[Oh that's... a lot. She wasn't expecting that much. But sure, she can work with this, it's a stew so it's hard to mess up so she just keeps peeling some potatoes -

- Spoon?

Two spoons??

Onion and spoon stew???]

Waaaait, wait, wait, you can't put that in there! [Gonna grab a ladle and fish out the spoons. They need those! They can't eat them!!]

We're gonna need these later! And maybe add something else besides onions... [She offers the potatoes she's finished peeling. Please chop those.]

[cranelike]

(She stops him from adding ANOTHER ONION and a knife into the pot along the way...)

It's iron.

(And now he has a bunch of potatoes to cut???)

[GRANDPA PLEASE - ]

Yeah, but we'll break our teeth if we try to eat it! That's what meat and some vegetables are for.

[They have a lot of people to feed, so there's a lot of potatoes. Meanwhile Ana adds some seasonings to try to balance the taste of Onion.]

Besides, we'll need the spoons later to eat this.
