MAY MINGLE

May Mingle: Entombed City
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Everyone's hard work resulted in the gate to upper Dragonspine opening. These ruins have not been traversed in years, if not centuries - everything within has been lost to time and living memory. An entire city has been buried in the snow.

Traces of technology can be found in the city - golden boxes that contain crystals capable of recording and playing back holograms. One of the boxes introduces this place as Vindagnyr; a land once full of greenery and life. Just what happened to these people? What caused the eternal winter?

The city's inhabitants worshipped Celestia. Why then were they left to die?
State of the World
On October 1st, the entombed city of Vindagnyr becomes open for exploration. Travelers can choose to look for clues or try to scavenge the city for ancient materials or tools. Recording boxes all around the city tell stories of Vindagnyr's greener past, and of the days when winter suddenly arrived. This is the cruelty of Celestia that Forneus wished you to see.

Rose knows him too well...too powerful. Of course, being a teenager, Jun's first impulse is to deny this accusation!]
What makes you think I did something?
[He definitely did something]
no subject
Experience.
[She shrugs.]
The fact that youâre trying to avoid the question doesnât instill much confidence, either.
no subject
...Guess there's no fooling you.
[And also you know, bad idea to do that if you're going for healing. He'll will away his shroud so it's just the black suit on now. Sure enough, the side of his face is bruised and scraped up like he had a run in with the ground.]
I just took a hit during a spar. Think it might've cracked a rib.
[From the looks of his injuries, it looks like he sparred with a truck]

[Her healing powers here arenât what they once were, but theyâre more than enough to see to his wounds. She summons a gust of air around Jun; it feels warm and gentle, like a summer breeze. As it passes by, he should feel the pain in his ribs ebb away, even if it doesnât disappear completely.]
Iâm not sure I would call any fight that could inflict these wounds a âspar.â What did you do, challenge a dragon?
no subject
Jun will hold still while she heals her, but he does visibly relax as the wind ebbs away his pain.] Ah...thanks.
[That's much better. But oh right, he should answer her question probably]
Forneus.
[So you know, something WORSE than a dragon]
no subject
If Forneus was attacking the camp, you should have called on us.
[The word âsparâ has momentarily left her vocabulary. Mostly because she cannot believe that anyone would be stupid enough to challenge a god for fun.]
no subject
[He frowns a little, it wasn't like he was personally attached to forneus- but don't accuse him of crimes he didn't commit!]
I asked him to spar with me so I could test something.
no subject
[She takes a long pause before responding, giving Jun a look that can best be described as "What did you just say?" It boggles the mind. Truly.]
I do hope that you were testing your luck, as luck is the only way you'd be left alive after such an encounter.
no subject
[That's vague and cryptic. He's tempted to leave it as that, and were it someone else- he might just do that. But he did trust Rose, and she did help him. So it's probably best to be a little more forthcoming]
...A certain power of mine returned. It's useful, but it could make me a target for Celestia. Forneus says he'll try to cloak it as best as he can, but it's still a risk if I'm not careful.
So I requested him to put a seal on me to restrain the use of that power to help with concealment, and I asked for a spar to test the strength of the seal.
[So...there was a reason!!]
no subject
For all the reasons to fight gods, thatâs certainly a compelling one. It wouldnât be good if you were attacked.
[Not that she cares or anything.]
But in the future, let us know in advance. One of us can stay on hand.
no subject
[You care Rose. But ok sass aside, he can see the reasoning and also knows not to push it too far.]
Understood. If I do it again, I'll let you know.
no subject
[Why can't everyone be as practical as you, Jun? Disregard that she's going to ignore that first comment. She is in the habit of fighting gods, and it's brought her great personal harm.]
Tell me, has the pain abated?
no subject
[Well, that is some lesson I guess.
He pauses, assessing himself for any pain before nodding]
Yes. I feel much better. Thank you Rose.
