October Mid-Month Event
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Two weeks after the Travelers arrive in Inazuma, the conflict between the Shogunate and the Sangonomiya Resistance begin to intensify. At Forneus' behest, you venture west to survey the battlegrounds and consider your next move.

Once again, a stalemate that can only be broken from the outside. This isn't anything new now, is it?
State of the World
The Sangonomiya Resistance have declared civil war on the Shogunate after the establishment of the Vision Hunt Decree. As you travel through Inazuma, you will eventually meet them, as well as their leader. It becomes evident that the two sides are locked in equal balance, and that the civil war does nothing good for anyone... which is why the overseer of the Narukami Shrine has asked you to come. You are unbound by any destiny, and thus able to tip the scales. But to do that, you will need a complete picture of the situation, and to solve problems that no one is willing to face.
No one has seen the Shogun out in public for quite a while. It seems that only a sufficiently grave danger will provoke her from within her castle. The enemy of eternity is change, and you are just that.

Crow Armbrust, age is.... complicated but let's just say 21 years old, and I'm formerly human but these days moonlighting as something else.

[ There's an amused smile on his face as he asks. ]

Caw!
And Julian likes Elliot, but there's only room for one corvid, apparently.

[ He winks at the bird. ]

Caw...
[August starts to cut his deck and deal out three cards.]
First one's past, second one's present, third's future, and don't kill the messenger if you don't like what the cards say. I promise you, the deck don't care.
[First card: Three of Swords, upright.]
This one means a few different things, but right now...yeah, I call this one the "no shit" card, because everyone deals with grief and loss sooner or later. Usually if it shows up like this, though, that loss defined you.
no subject
[ Crow lets out a snort when he hears the explanation of that first card. ]
I see why you'd call it that. But yeah, I've had some losses in my life.
no subject
[Anyway. Present: Three of Pentacles, upright.]
Good news, whatever you're doing now? Probably gonna work out if you work with other people. Maybe not the way you expect but...that's life.
no subject
Considering my friends? It's not a surprise, but it's always nice to hear that kind of encouragement.
no subject
[Last one: Hierophant, reversed.]
...so something's coming up, and it might be big, but whatever you're gonna do? Fuck the rules, fuck the police, do whatever the fuck feels right. The rules aren't doing you any good, so just go with your gut and do whatever they're saying you can't.
no subject
"Fuck the police," huh? I've heard they're pretty decent guys, at least the ones in Crossbell, but I've always prefered to do things my own way. I've always been something of a rebel.
[ "Rebel." Yes. That's definitely the word for it. ]
no subject
[Okay, he has to ask:]
So how do you now local "adorable pocket sized good boy" Elliot and "hilariously easily whipped" Rean, with cards like that?
no subject
Rean's less easily whipped than you'd think. But we went to the same school for a while. I was their upperclassmen, but I joined 'em in class to pick up some extra credits.
no subject
You say that, but it was so stupidly easy to get him to carry all of my shopping the other day and make him agree to letting me make him something that looks like clothes people actually wear.
no subject
Oh thank the Goddess, I thought I was going to have to handle that myself!

[ It's said with all the confidence of someone who has faced off against Rean more than once. ]

[ Sorry Rean, he loves you but it's true. ]
