FEBRUARY MINGLE

February Mingle: The Outlander Who Caught The Wind
Welcome to Teyvat - a vast magical world of adventure.
Life in Mondstadt seems to never change. Each day unfolds similarly to the next, and the clock turns back every seven days. Just what is happening here? Is there ever any hope for the Travelers to find a way home? Slowly, the questions that have been burning in everyone's minds will be answered The fate of all that lives in Teyvat is written in the stars - only you, Traveler, are free from the shackles of destiny.

"Come fly with me. The winds of freedom will clear away the storm."
An updraft carries you and your Wind Glider into the air, where you can take aim at the dragon without hindrance. However, your attacks seem to focus on the purple spikes that torment the dragon's body. From whence did they come?

Whatever path you choose to walk, it soon becomes evident that your actions do have an impact on the world. August 17th arrives gracefully, and the people of Mondstadt turn their attention to the arduous task of reconstruction. Helping to patch up the city's beautiful neighbourhoods piece by piece will earn you the citizens favour and a good amount of Mora.

Yet all wolves look the same to outsiders unfamiliar with their code, and the residents of Springvale are all too willing to blame all of wolfkind. Who will listen to the voice of the wolves? Will blood be spilled on these untamed lands once more? Only time will tell.
State of the World
For the first week of February, IC time will continue the time loop from January: that is, looping once more from August 10th to August 16th. ICly, the tasks in our main quest will be completed by characters before Sunday ends. Once Monday rolls around once more, they’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that the date has advanced to August 17th. The second to fourth weeks of February will be spent looping from August 17th to August 23rd, and characters will have plenty of new things to do in the new time period.
For all questions regarding February's mingle and events, please head over to our OOC post.

[ THOSE THREE IN PARTICULAR ARE
REALLY BAD ABOUT THAT ]
no subject
Haha, really? Small world..s, I suppose.
[nailed it]
I don't remember them getting into too much, don't worry. I probably caused trouble for Izuku-san if anything.
[Ok maybe also Bakugou greeted him by throwing an explosion at him once, but hey Ochako's got enough on her plate without hearing about Bakugou's quetionable social skills]
no subject
[ that doesn't sound right. ]
Somehow I don't think Deku-kun would be that bothered by it if you did, though. He likes helping people, you know?
no subject
[In other words, they might've gotten into trouble but Jun didn't care because it had nothing to do with his mission. Which. Is probably the more likely scenario.]
Mm, that's along the lines of what he said too. Are you two close friends?
no subject
[ her classmates are (mostly) great, but they are. not the best at staying put. it's why they'll be great heroes, eventually, but it's also why they keep making everyone worry about them! ]
Yeah! Deku-kun's one of my best friends in our class. [ sighs. ] It feels like it's been forever since I've seen any of them...
[ this is ochako realizing she misses everyone?? wow?? ]
no subject
I can't rule that out. They were all quite the characters.
[Because yeah, even he could easily see those three getting into some kind of hijinks while he wasn't around. He wishes he had gotten to spend more time with him, that he could've gotten that chance to actually tell Izuku the truth about things like he'd promised....but well, some things aren't meant to be.
All he can do is work to help get Ochako back to her world, and pray that those three were there waiting.]
You'll see them again. And you'll have a lot of stories to tell Izuku-san too.
[Though uh...maybe not the one about the murder place because YIKES]
no subject
[ there's never a dull day in class 1-A. but ah, her enthusiasm fades a littlee, though ochako still keeps smiling. ]
I don't think I'd want to tell Deku-kun everything. [ THE MURDERS... ] But this place is really cool, you know? And the people I've met, even in the Realm, were all pretty amazing. He'd probably like to meet some of them.
[ ...another moment, and she laughs. ]
And to take notes on their powers and how it all works.
[ he's such a nerd!! ]
no subject
I'm good. My school is lively enough for me.
[Dealing with mostly normal high school was already a lot for him. Having a classmate that can make explosions out of sweat? Hmmm...yeah pass.
But he can get Ochako's sentiment. When he gets home, he was definitely going to keep to the happier stories to tell his friends. They already worry about him enough.
That remark though? Gets a real spontaneous laugh from him]
Haha! You know, that's actually exactly the first thing he did when I met him!
no subject
DEKU-KUN WHY ARE YOU SO PREDICTABLE. SHE'S LAUGHING ]
He's such a nerd...!
no subject
[DEKU WILL ALWAYS BE DEKU. A NERD.]
We were at a halloween bonfire, I was all dressed up- and there he was, asking me a dozen questions about how my abilities work so he could write it down in his notebook.
no subject
[ deku-kun is a nerd, but. wow. he gets so much done with all that nerdery. ]
no subject
If he was from my Earth, I could think of at least one organization that'd love to recruit him as a researcher. Then again, he seemed pretty set on being a pro-hero.
no subject
Honestly, he'd probably make a great quirk researcher! But I don't think anything could persuade him to stop being a hero. It's like... something he just can't live without doing, you know? He can't help wanting to save everyone.
[ that's why ochako admires him so much... but that's neither here nor there! ]
It's a little hard to imagine him not being a hero.
no subject
[It's why he liked Izuku as much as he did. That kindness. Well that, and also a fellow geek to talk geeky things with.
Ochako too seems like a kind person. They're lucky to have each other.]
Speaking of quirks and heroes though...we should probably find a way over this chasm.
[You know, that we've been standing by for the past five minutes]
no subject
[ laughs. anyway, she holds her hand out to jun, palm up! ]
I can float us over.
no subject
[Can't be anymore risky than using magic propulsion to shoot yourself forward, so why not! Taking that hand!]
no subject
[ and when jun takes her hand, said quirk activates! he'll gently start to float above the stone, and once ochako's activated it on herself, as well, she pushes off the platform to head to the next one. luckily it's just a quick jaunt, so she barely has time to feel nauseous before they've made it across, and she presses her fingertips together to release them back into gravity's pull. ]
See? Easy!
no subject
Haha, well done! That's an impressive quirk, Ochako-san.
[And he means that sincerely!]
no subject
[ she's proud of it! ]
Any idea where we're supposed to be heading in here?
no subject
[Maybe if Kugayama really got into weight training, but she's more into performing music so...doubtful.
He looks ahead, focusing on the task ahead of them once more]
I'm not sure. If this labyrinth are like the ones on Earth, what we're looking for will most likely be in the innermost chamber where the master of this place resides. But since we don't know the layout of this place...we'll just have to take our best guess to which way to go.
no subject
[ but yeah, she's nodding. that all makes sense. ]
And try not to fall into the void, right? We can do that. [ ochako goes to peer around a corner, but pulls back almost immediately. ] And... maybe follow the hillichurls?
no subject
[Since that sounds weird. He's no Izuku but it's hard not to be curious about stuff ok. And he nods at that with a little smile] Yeah, try to avoid that.
[But enough fun chatter it seems. He stops when Ochako steps back, he going quiet for a moment and the smile fading. Figures they'd be here.]
Suppose that answers whether they can get past the sealed entrance.
[Holding out his hand, he summons his great sword. It's larger than he is, being at least 2 meters in length, but despite that he holds onto it with one hand with ease. Totally not weird. But he's ready to go when she is.]
no subject
[ by contrast, ochako has only a short sword, lightweight but sharp. it’s not her specialty, by any means, but she draws it anyway, saying nothing of jun’s weapon as she meets his eyes and nods.
then she’s rounding the corner and tapping into her vision to throw a rock at the nearest one. how’s that for a hello? ]
no subject
[Nausea, that's not pleasant. He makes a mental note of it. Be careful how much he requests to use her quirk then.
But he won't say anything more of it, since there's a battle to focus on. The rock hits one in the head, causing it to stumble while his companions are surprised by the sudden rock. Jun meanwhile will take advantage of the confusion and lunge himself towards the group. He swings his blade at one, causing it to fly back from the sheer force he swings with, and then uses his vision to launch a flying rock at another charging at him. Seems he can handle himself just fine.
Meanwhile a couple hillichurls notice Ochako and go charging at her- hoping that she's a less dangerous target than the guy with a giant sword]
no subject
as she goes, she picks up the rock she’d thrown before with a light tap, and it easily begins to float. swinging her sword like a bat, ochako send it flying at one of the hilichurls who’ve come after her, and releases it just before impact so it slams the hilichurl right in the chest. that gives the other one time to catch up to her, though, so she barely avoids the swing of its club. ]
